I only play a half set in a Sunday bag for simplicity. My philosophy is that if you can't make the tour with a half-set, you don't deserve 14 clubs srs. I also don't believe in playing new models

Probably not. I have my yardages dialed with each club. So I'd be pretty lost if I was missing one.
Playing with less clubs just makes the game more guess work.
