We're usually seated at a table and sit across. She invariably picks the side with her back to the wall, which is also the side I would take but I let her sit first.

Fukking hate booths. They're all set up for lardasses these days and spaced way apart. I have to either sit all the way on the edge of the seat, or have the table be 2 feet away from me.

Tables are goat. I also prefer sitting across my girl ... It's weird as hell to sit next to my girl if there's already space in front of us.

Prefer bars, don't have to wait for a table/booth and it's more acceptable to chill there for a couple hours vs a table/booth. Second choice would be booth. But now with kids we can count on one hand how many times a year we can do that, so the bar has an added novelty appeal.
