If so do you still have them?
My ex kids collected yuigioh cards. They gave me some . I kept not worth as much as Pokémon but was a good game

I got 2 Charizards.
One was a 2nd edition in some $10 pack of cards my parents got me. It was this deal where the guy was selling them at a mall kiosk and pre-wrapped them himself, knowing exactly 1 had a Charizard out of like 8 remaining packs. I opened the Charizard.
The second one I got was a regular edition Charizard out of the final pack of Pokemon cards I ever bought. The card shop I was playing Pokemon card league in was mysteriously selling out a couple old boxes of unopened regular edition OG Pokemon cards when they were well into 2nd or 3rd or whatever edition. Got a Charizard, decided to call it a day and end my collection there.
The one I could never fkn get in a pack was Blastoise. Paid some incel at the same kiosk $40 for the Blastoise I do have. This was all back in like 1999, and $40 felt like an impressive amount of money at the time.

Never could get into Magic myself, either. I was kind of on the young side for that in the 90's, and wasn't into cards enough later to do it then
I figure I could get a few hundred bucks for my collection of rare Pokemon cards from the right person, but they were stored in a card holding book with the card holder sleeves. So they are definitely far from mint.
Crazy to think that even really good condition ones wouldn't have come anywhere near paying for the thousands of dollars my parents got me in Pokemon stuff over the years

I had a rare holographic dark charizard. Think it came out in the first edition from the original anime in 1998. I lost it throughout the years. Today it’d be worth $10,000
