    I suggest full body, I did All Pro when I was younger and modified it as I go. The thing I liked the most was it had a heavy, medium, light day so you weren't lifting heavy load all the time.

    Might work well. I've been going mainly conditioning/endurance work recently. So I'm in pretty good shape cardio and muscular endurance wise.

    This was I've always none in the past, except it was a 2 day fullbody. Don't know if a 3 day fullbody would be too much at this point.

    Interesting. I did a bench day, a deadlift day and a squat day for a while and got strong as fuk. Still been doing that on and off recently cause of my work and still getting stronger. It's not ideal for bench but fine for legs and deadlift. You really have to push the intensity for it to be effective though.

    It may be if you are reasonably strong. You could do 2 full body and like a bs arm and calves day for a 3rd

    OP, if you’re looking for a srs answer (and yes I realize it still no avi after over a decade but a shirtless pic for dudes online I’m all set)…the more and more I look into it…

    (and I realize SOME research seems to debunk [though I’m not sure id agree] some of his stuff)…but…

    Mike Mentzer’s high intensity program, and his general training philosophy.

    I really do think there’s something to it.

    Just open your mind for a second, consider the possibility that the groupthink isn’t correct (it’s been wrong on so many things)

    Long story short…two factors majorly influence how you (and many of us) look at training…

    1) Everyone with an insane physique is ok tons of gear. So much gear that they would see progress even with suboptimal training. It’s a fact that a guy like Mentzer went toe to toe with Arnold (arguably beat him that one year ‘80 I think) while actually training only about 2.5 hours per WEEK


    2) Arnie being the goat bodybuilder had the most influence. He kind of turned the gym into a social club for men. He’d spend 4-5 HOURS every single day in the gym.

    I mean more is always better right?

    The people who’d respond saying “one set lol yeah right”…ok, they are doing 4x10? 5x6? 10x10? I mean why not 20 sets? Why not lift 8 hours per day? Well now, THAT seems dumb…ok, so you agree there’s a line?

    Anyways, to answer your question OP…

    The older I have gotten the more I think Mentzer’s high intensity was waaay ahead of its time.

    if you dont have upper body u got the lower body but if you got the lower body then you have the upper body except if you have lower then you wont have upper body srs

    I've actually dabbled in HIT before, I found it worked but was difficult without a spotter.
