This morning I woke up at 6am, something I NEVER do on Saturdays. It normally rare for me to leave the house before noon on weekends. But I felt compelled to get an early start today and let me tell you…
This feels incredible.
Zero traffic
Birds chirping
Sunny but not hot, with a cool breeze (perfect weather)
Energy levels through the roof
Boomers out jogging
No homeless people on the off-ramps
Stores and coffee shops are open but mostly dead
Everyone seems friendlier
I already knocked out all my weekend errands and it’s barely 8am. Now the rest of my day is free to hit the gym and just relax.
Why the fook haven’t I been doing this for years?

Waking up early is the ultimate “life hack” (SRS)

Ive been getting up at 6am consistently for years now, get a early workout in and then I do night shift for work. A lot of days Ill take a power nap at like 1-130. And the past couple of weeks Ive been getting up at 530 and taking cold showers. The amount I get done compared to when I got up at 930-10 is insane.
I was always looking at the finger pointing at
the moon. Now I'm just looking at the moon.
And theres no me looking. Theres just looking.

That’s a goal of mine srs. I think it’ll make being an officel more tolerable.
I did some of that but never was a huge partier. That going out chit is played out. I prefer being home at night.
Feels good man.
Never played golf before. My grandpa was a huge player and a 4x senior champ at his club, so I’ve been on the course, but always been too embarrassed to swing in front of people lol. Plus I don’t think they let povertycels like me through the gates semi-srs lmao. Maybe someday.
Das not it mane sorry to hear. Being groggy is the worst. Melatonin?
Fell asleep around 10:30p last night. Not much difference from my weekday schedule.
Biggest downside is I like watching boxing/UFC fights and the main events never fkin start until midnight. I’ve fallen asleep watching many times.
Mirin’ hard!! There’s a certain amount of tranquility in the early morning hours. More focused energy to be productive. Not gonna lie, it was tough to force myself up, but once I took a shower and headed out I felt immensely better. No doom scrolling for hours in bed either.
A little earlier. At least before sunrise.
It’s only 9:12 am tho. Mind = blown. You’re British?
Based AF mane.
Damn that’s a good point my bad lol.

A few weeks ago I was on call overnight Friday into Saturday. Got called in. 3am Saturday morning got out at 6am and it was awesome. There was nobody out so I went grocery shopping, washed my truck, and went and got some chick fil a breakfast. I got everything I needed to get done before 0730. Things are so much easier when you done have to deal with other people.
Only in America could you find a way to earn a healthy buck And still keep your attitude on self-destruct

I would tend to agree, but it's difficult to do consistently if you're not already up early for work. Cardio first thing in the morning, or a weights workout, is the perfect start to a day. Gets you energised and feeling good for the day ahead.
Plus, when you rise with the sun, you have literally the entire day ahead of you. So you are bound to be more productive when you have the entire day to pursue goals.
I would like to get into this schedule regardless of whether or not I'm working. Wake up 5.30-6, exercise out of the way and done for day, breakfast and prep meals if I need, 7-8am watch some TV and read, 9-5 work or some other pursuit beneficial to oneself, after 6pm leisure activities and hobbies, or more TV and reading, into bed by sat 10.30 - 11pm.Back off, Warchild.
Seriously.

I always talk about how I think that's a terrible idea. Cardio in the morning sure whatever, but with lifting, the science says you're up to 10% weaker when you're dehydrated.
Hydration takes time, you can't just drink some water and you're good 10 minutes later. I don't think there's nearly enough time to get hydrated in the morning.
