The Rock is playing the Final Boss gimmick, which means he has to be beaten once and for all at some stage...who do you think will beat him?

I think Roman Reigns is most likely...

But I won't count out Cody Rhodes or Brock Lesnar...

Cody makes the most sense but he is not exactly convincing. I’d rather Rock pinned Cody.

There was a time when people really wanted to see Rock vs Brock 2, they can still pull it off at some point, but yeah the chances of that are very less.

Kind of depends on where Reigns is going from here? Seems like the guy can't be a full timer due to health, so not sure it makes sense to use the Rock's loss up on him. They should milk a feud between the two. Roman came off as second banana when Rock was around.

By people you mean Vince. That was his wet dream Mania match he kept trying to push in like 2018-2020. There was no reason to have it then, and even less to have it now.


As for the question of the thread, I originally wanted heel Roman to beat face Rock to establish himself as true head of the table. That obviously can't happen now, and that was when I figured Rock was only going to come back for a one off. Now that he's here for the long haul, I'm not sure how wise it would be to give face Roman to rub. It would make the most sense storyline-wise, but how long is Roman going to stick around? He's already a part timer and even if he stays in WWE he'll have what 4 matches a year? Secondly face Roman was either meh or downright bad. If they get it right this time around it could be good but he would have to be like a badass tweener leaning face like Orton.

The obvious second choice is Cody. The seeds are planted and Rock is coming for him. Not sure though if they'll want to give Rock a short run with the title after beating Cody and then have someone else take it or Cody get revenge. Or they could avoid the complication of the title picture completely and have Cody get cashed in on via MITB or something. Or Rock shows up and causes Cody to lose the title to segue into their 1 on 1 match.

So I kind of want it to be Roman as it would be best given the characters and story, but not sure how long Roman is sticking around and for how many matches. Cody is the most likely choice they'll go with IMO. I think Rock will screw Cody over and then fight him in a match. He already said with or without the title he's coming for Cody.

Final Boss is a horrible gimmick. Final Bosses always get beaten.

He should have been The Main Character.
