Similar to the moon landing air travel is a hoax. I'm supposed to believe a big heavy ass metal cyclinder floats up in the sky and doesnt crash down to Earth at a million miles per hour?
One of the greatest scams of all time that's for sure. Don't know exactly what they do when you go for a ride in that tube of death but I promise you aren't going up in the air.

Never. Combination of OCD mandated as well as personal preference.
From an OCD POV, I need a lot of clothing and supplies to travel and likely wouldn't be able to take it all on a plane. Also worried about being in close proximity with someone I have no control over who they are for the duration of the flight, as well as possibly having to use the bathroom on the plane. I would be fine pissing in a plane bathroom, but I couldn't poop on one as I only poop in my personal bathroom at home and I have to shower after a BM. Last time I had to go elsewhere was 14 years ago and it was not a fun time.
From a preference POV, I just don't like traveling. I'm far more comfortable close to my home base and with access to everything I might need that I could very well forget to bring on a trip. It would be cool to see how everything looks from up there and that's something I regret not experiencing, but if I ever did that it would have to be a short flight and come home in the same day or in the very latest the next day. I have a friend who can fly a Cessna but not sure how I would do on something like that. I have a fear of heights that would likely be somewhat suspended in a large plane. In a Cessna where you can feel the wind/turbulence a lot more I might not do so well.See Krackerjacked's sig

Last October, wasn't too bad but a lot or idiots at the airport.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.

You have no reason to be afraid of flying. It is, no joke, one of the safest things you can do. There are some really good things you can do to make the tea evaporate, it's all about reconciling the tension between the rational brain and the emotional brain.
Your brain naturally amplifies fear when it leaves the ground and evolution absolutely did not prime us for being really high up in the air. An emotional response is normal and really to be expected. But nothing about that affects the physics of flying, the statistics about air safety, or the fact you are entirely safe on a commercial flight.
If you doubt this, hit me with a scientific or intellectual reason why you wouldn't be safe on a flight. I guarantee you won't have something I don't have an answer for.Back off, Warchild.
Seriously.
