Bruh you can do better. 18-24 is fantastic to do stuff broke college kids do. Going to house parties with a 30 rack and playing yard games with the boys, attending festivals, and going downtown on Wednesdays with the whole crew and holding down your section of your favorite bar.
BUT once you are 24+ and are a big boy with a real job suddenly all sorts of other opportunities present themselves. Buy that $1,000 EPIC/Ikon pass and shred resorts till you realize back country is waaaay better then drop $20-40 racks on whatever toy suits you either ATV/side by side/jetski/boat. $50-60,000 for the Truck to haul your toys? No problem don't even think twice about rolling through whatever you find yourself facing whether you are crawling rocks or plowing through snow as it comes over the hood. Did I mention how sweet new bikes are with carbon fiber frames, 29 inch wheels, and 160-180mm of travel?
Needless to say 25-40 you can explore hobbies and actually have the funds to follow your dreams. I've managed to live the life I always dreamed about when I was still in school crushing 30packs and waiting to do something other than buy some beer and waste another weekend. Not even gonna go into the incredible feelz coming home from work and hearing the excited "DADDDDIEEEEEEEEEE" squeal and hugs from my kiddosFitness connoisseur

Donno bro I'm 39 and in the best shape of my life, with a steady gym routine, and probably the happiest I've ever been. Have a good social circle to boot.
I played plenty of video games in my 20's, and I still do at 39. I've smoked weed since 19, and dabble in that white powder 3 or 4 times a month.
That being said. I'm about to hop into Hell Divers 2 for a couple hrs, srs.

Nearly 30's brah checking in. Here's how I'm anticipating it to be.
If you take really good care of yourself, your 30s will just be an extension of your 20s. There will potentially be harder times as your family ages and have health issues. But you're still likely extremely healthy and doing just fine. And ideally you'll have a better than ever income and a growing net worth so that you're not really sweating the real problems in life.
Don't linger and get sucked into these dark thoughts of dread. What did your 18 years old self hope you'd act and feel like in your 30s? I doubt 18 years old conics would've liked to predict he'd be depressed, full of inadequacy, not finding any joy or curiosities of this world. And I doubt 60 years old conics will want to look back at his 30s wishing he didn't self-sabotage his own youth.
Next time you're feeling the blues, check yourself, and immediately move on to the next thought or action. Throw yourself into a zone of appreciation and living in the moment. That's the optimal place to be after all.
EDIT: Think of it like this, you're the star of your own movie series. When you were an infant, it was the endearing Rugrats opening film. When you were in your early 20s it was the college partying comedy sequel. Now wherever you're at now, you're able to choose the genre to live in, perhaps a bit more of a "The Office" style comedy, hopefully not a horror film. You are not just the main character, but you play a part in the director and writer (when it comes to the controllables, and your perspective), that's the beauty of free will. Start having fun again man, you can do it.Last edited by Visel; 04-30-2024 at 02:01 AM.

I'm turning 30 end of May, I'm gonna be a dad this year my social circle is pretty good now, got quite a few things planned for the year.
I'm in the best shape of my life started finasteride so hoping I can delay the Norwood reaper for a few years.
Career wise I feel stuck in my job but it could be worse I work with a good group of people.
End of the day age is just a number and comparison is the thief of joy.
