go walk around, do a trail, ride a bike, play basketball, work on a car, do yard work, build something outside, plant a garden, swim, buy a set of dumbbells and toss them around one in a while. lots of ways to keep active without a boring gym

That's an entirely separate point. Boring =/= cringe. Gym can be boring, but its a convenient and efficient way of getting consistent exercise and ultimately staying on top of your health and lifestyle - all objectively good things

staying on top of your health should simply be a byproduct of living a life doing things that need to be done or you enjoy doing. like someone that works in the yard, enjoys kayaking/hiking and doesn't eat too much...being in shape is just something that happens...it's not a pursuit all on its own.

this do whatever it takes/grind crap is a product of people knowing the gym is boring. find some hobbies you enjoy and you no longer have to psyche yourself to do crap your mind is telling you sucks.

Not me. You can get a different type of workout at home but gyms have a lot of different things and you have to actually dress up and get a preworkout in and you are surrounded by your peers. I like a gym with good looking people because it motivates me and I want to stay in with them

Going to start doing only exercises I enjoy srs. Bench, curl, tricep pushdowns, lat pulldowns, overhead press. Done

For legs, probably just hamstring curl, leg extension, calf raise and leave. Just to prevent atrophy.

Lol yeah. I try not to judge but I definitely notice some cringe stuff. The woman doing all leg workouts to make her butt "thiccer". The young dude with the broccoli haircut taking his shirt off and walking around flexing when he's like 150lbs. Just a few things I cringed at the other day.

That's because the broccoli haired Zoomers have taken over the gym with their TikToks and they crowd every machine with looking at their cell phones so you can never get on it as they take turns.

I don't get why they are always in crowds? I remember the hot guys at the gym 10 years ago and they would maybe talk to each other in passing but do their own thing.
