i joined a new gym and everyone is looking mad and there's really angry rap music which makes everything kinda awkward imo. i know it's quite a hostile environment but i thought people were supposed to enjoy working out?

why is everyone so aggressive and moody in my gym?

I've pondered this before and I think that it's simply due to the nature of the gym as a place that relies greatly on testosterone and aggression to get results.

I'm like this, walk around the gym between sets head bopping and occasionally kicking things (ppl's water bottles etc) if I'm getting really hyped up for a lift. Doesn't mean we're aggressive it's just our way, us elite lifters.
