I doubt canadians are actually voting for their own demise. Theyre like experiencing election fraud as well.

Fuk off we’re full. Keep their garbage voting habits north of the border.
I've got family in Edmonton and visit often. Obviously didn't go a few years with covid closures but when I went back last summer I couldn't believe all of the new housing I saw. Full developments complete with a corner quickie mart that were nothing but farmland a few years prior.Last edited by sfgiants13; 03-21-2024 at 10:28 PM.

Yeah yeah. No kids here because I refuse to put them through the garbage school system here. The state would probably take them away because I won't affirm their pronouns or some chit since most kids in public school here have pronouns or are part of the alphabet mafia.
Not everyone here is nuts. There's a few of us that are sane but unfortunately we're badly outnumbered. I've been trying to get out but with the wife being from here and her parents getting older it won't happen anytime soon.(they/them) #ProudVegan We can beat this! Triple Vax. Nothing is serious until politicians start getting popped. Everyone knows that, especially the elites. They welcome the little pathetic temper tantrums that Americans and Canadian throw, so they can crush them and acquire more power. Using the word revolt whenn referring to 1st worlders is a joke. Im sure Trudeau is shaking in his dress...

There's definitely going to be destruction of the ruling party and the one propping them up in the next election, problem is that's over a year away and the people in charge want to ensure their pensions so Cuckmeet Singh isn't going to call one.
The way the country has changed in the last 2-3 years is ridiculous and the Liberals are doubling down on this idiotic carbon tax, with their base eating up the BS that they are getting a "rebate" that makes them money for some reason. At least recently they are starting to realize they will get annihilated in the next election so are making small changes, but it's too little, too late.
I never thought I'd say it, but the PPC guy (who doesn't even have any seats) is the only one who's saying halt all immigration, eliminate the carbon tax entirely and start spending money internally instead of shipping it to Ukraine. Which are all things I would vote for in a heartbeat.

Oil has been at $80-100+ since COVID lol, granted it hasn’t resulted in a big spike in oilfield construction etc
But I own two houses in Alberta so not particularly worried about all that, we have a long way to go before remotely approaching the really expensive markets.
One of my woman’s friends bought a pretty decent 1 bedroom condo here last year for like $125k — that’s not expensive.

I feel bad man for my conservative Canadian counterparts. Just like with the stupid **** going on in the U.S., I didn’t vote for it but still have to suffer through it. When we express our displeasure, we get the same line:
…increasingly disillusioned with their government, which authors mostly chalk up to “misinformation,” “conspiracy theories” and “paranoia.”
It couldn’t possibly be that I have reasoned arguments for believing what I do. Nope, I’m just a paranoid, misinformed conspiracy theorist for disagreeing with the left.
Sad thing is, you could change RCMP to FBI and change Canadians to Americans, and the article would fit just as well.

Much of the stuff in the report is referring to the West in its entirety and is not specific to Canada.
Also important to keep in mind that this is a law enforcement policy document, and they will of course take a stance that encourages as much funding for them as possible — as they should, and they should take as extreme a stance as possible because that’s always where you begin negotiations.
Inheritance will probably be an important source of housing for younger generations today in the very expensive real estate markets.

Its hard not to blame the stupidity of the average Canadian honestly, its been a depressing ride.
Canadian money printers have been burning ink faster than anywhere else in the world. Our government told us there will be transitory inflation that will go away because of reasons. Government advertises 18-19% inflation since pre-covid but those are gamed stats. Real numbers people are experiencing is 40%+ because they pull housing and fuel out of the CPI calc.
Mortgage rates have tripled in 14 months and are going to keep climbing. We don't have fixed term mortgages for 20-30 years. Most people renew every 5, and most people in the last 5 have been on variable rate. So homeowners and landlords (and their renters) are having a trillion dollars worth of payments skyrocket.
We put the pedal down on immigration two years ago, and have cranked it up to 1M a year. This is roughly analogous to the US importing the entire population of Tennesee in one year, year after year, for 3 years running. We're building houses and creating jobs way slower than that, so its causing incredible upward pressure on housing and incredible downward pressure on wages.
We've had an escalating carbon tax that just went up again. Everything from home heating/gasoline/diesel/power generation is all skyrocketing so we can save the world. Food is grown with nitrogen fertilizer produced from natural gas, grain is dried with natural gas, food is hauled with diesel and our galaxy-brained voters cant figure out why groceries are doubling in price.
They are being told Carbon tax is a magic system where the government will give you rebates where you actually make more money back so its win-win-win. There are still people who support and believe this.
Our weakening economy is tanking forex with the USD, so anything we import is getting more expensive. We also import everything because the only real industry we have here is selling our houses back and forth to each other with all the money the government printed. Our GDP tied to real estate is double that of any G7 country and its the only thing keeping up the illusion, so any decisions around immigration or economics are just blowing air to keep the bubble from popping.
Short answer is people bought the story, voted for it, and are now experiencing the consequences of their actions.
If you live in a low COL area in Canada (only a couple left) and you are already established in a career and house you arent desperate yet, but I have no idea what young people starting out are supposed to do.------♥♥-----

Its going to get worse before it gets better.
The current gov knows they are on their last term and are going to be blown out, so there is zero need to listen to the will or suffering of the people. We will continue to hamstring any industry for his environmental activists, and print piles of cash for whatever francotransindigenouswomynpoc initiative is giving Trudeau a she-boner this week, and it will continue for another year and a half.
The agreement they struck with the NDP wont be broken, the purple haired screechers who created this mess need the government to last 1 week past the last legal day for an election to qualify for their lifetime gold-plated pension. So they are tabling and will pencilwhip a proposal to delay the next election by one week because of the cultural significance of diwali to their millions of newly imported voters.
And then when the next guy comes in and has to gut the public service funding with a machete to try to course correct it will be a purple-haired screech heard in work-from-home cat caves you will be able to hear from space.
It's no wonder people with the means to get out are making a plan. Great time to work in leadership at a multinational group of companies, I need to see what kind of coffee place is by our San Antonio office.------♥♥-----

The balance of seats basically means the government is decided by which way the GTA goes, as long as you keep the Newfies on their welfare and Quebec fat.
Don't underestimate the stupidity of the 800k 600sq ft condo-dwellers in the GTA.
They've stopped announcing trudeaus stops or visits between Kelowna and Winnipeg for a while now,too many rocks being thrown.------♥♥-----
