A PC version of 2020’s Ghost of Tsushima could be announced next week, it’s claimed.
According to Xbox Era’s Nick Baker, who accurately predicted a majority of Sony‘s recent State of Play presentation, posted to X claiming that news on the unannounced, but widely expected, port could arrive as soon as Tuesday, March 5.
“I’m hearing that we might get getting something about the Ghost of Tsushima PC port pretty soon. Maybe around the 5th?.” he posted to X.
Ghost of Tsushima was widely expected to arrive on PC at some point, following in the footsteps of the majority of Sony’s first-party output from that era.
Ghost of Tsushima was released in 2020 on PlayStation 4, and later received a director’s cut for PlayStation 5.
Sony’s PC output has steadily increased since it first divorced some of its tentpole single-player releases from its home console, though this doesn’t appear to have led to sparkling sales.
Last month, the Sony-backed Helldivers 2, a sequel to a niche PS4 and PSVita game, was released on both PC and PS5 simultaneously and became a huge success. The game’s concurrent player count easily eclipsed that of all other PlayStation Studios PC releases combined.
A film adaptation of Ghost of Tsushima is currently in production at Sony.
In 2021, Sucker Punch Game director Nate Fox and creative director Jason Connell were made permanent tourism ambassadors of the city of Tsushima.
The same year, the popularity of the game also led to fans helping raise more than $260,000 to rebuild a shrine on the real island.

Sony just waits 5 years until the sales of the game have been milked off the platform to give PC peasants crumbs. Not a bad strategy, they’re already giving the game out for free to PS+ users anyway. Can charge full price to PCcels so they can stop playing their 20 year old games like Minecraft and League and play a real game

I think they are nailing their PC strategy, using the releases as extra income and to hype sequels while PS users still get get it earlier and typically available for free before they even start letting PCcels buy the game The PS5 Director's Cut version has been free on PS for a year now.
While Xcels lose their mind about their games going to other platforms, PScels don't care.12-5-23

Sony bringing most of the exclusives to PC has been great. I don't understand why any fan, be it Playstation or Xbox, would be upset about someone on another platform having the opportunity to enjoy the game.
Most AAA games can be had for 50% off or more within 6 months of release. PC games can often be had for a fraction of the prices on PSN and Xbox.~BBCOM Chadmin~

I have an issue with it. Exclusives sell consoles, it's what makes the brand special and a large library of them is what incentivises people to invest in the platform. Sony is sacrificing the long term brand image for short term profits but by the end of the generation I predict many people are gonna jump ship and streamline to PC+Switch as the defacto way to get access to all games.
Why is that a problem? Well, Xbox is nearly dead, the PS maybe going that way too. For one, I rather enjoy playing on console and would also hate to lose my console library which would be considerably bigger by the end if I don't abandon ship soon myself. It's not a good feeling losing confidence in the longevity of the platform you invest hundreds/thousands in.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Yep. Honestly wouldn't surprise me if Sony starts doing the same thing as MS here, if the numbers are good, Sony will want more money. We've had a couple threads and repeat posts on here from Sony fanbois trying to stir the sh!t, but they've gone silent now when they realized MS is actually coming into Sony's territory and raking in cash lol.
