Massachusetts hospital warns patients could be denied care if their tone of voice ..
is hostile.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...tile-tone.html
So there was a story of a woman being "fired" by her hospital for Cancer treatment, for complaining about the flags, trans staff, and other things that were not to her liking.
This is the first story since that one, where i see a "code of conduct" for patients.
Thoughts?

To me it seems like complete horsesh!t. Yeah sure if it is a completely private organization that receives exactly zero state or federal dollars then maybe, though I’d still disagree with it. But they pretty much all get money from government and are paid to provide an emergency service.
BRB - stroking out in the ER, really stressed, and they don’t like the sound of your voice = “sorry, but looks like you’re gonna die on the floor there”
The list of terrible examples could go on and on, and to be something as subjective as “tone of voice” means they could pretty much just deny life saving care for anything they want. Not surprised though, especially in a place like MA. Let snowflakes run the world and see where it takes you.
Also, link wasn’t working so I’m just basing my post on the description.+positive crew+

Dumb on stilts, but the magnitude of stupid depends on the context. A PCP who decides to no longer keep a patient is one thing, but refusing to treat somebody in the throes of a heart attack for "problematic" body language, mis-gendering someone, or (horror of horrors) committing some unspecified micro-aggression is flat-out malpractice...and any physician who does so should have their medical license revoked.
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

I don't agree, but I will say that my first wife worked clerical in an ER back in the 90's and the Hospital basically had to provide therapy for the clerical workers due to the abuse they sustained on a nightly basis.
People can be bitches, that's for sure. I heard some of the most awful stories of verbal and sometimes physical abuse.

Yeah, it becomes very tricky when you have to explain body language and i am always getting into discussions with the GF for "tone"
"In 2022, Mass General - one of Boston's premier hospitals - announced in an updated Patient Code of Conduct that 'Words or actions that are disrespectful, racist, discriminatory, hostile, or harassing are not welcome.'
Mass General's policy warned that 'violations of this Code may lead to patients being asked to make other plans for their care."
We need to publish the Golden Rule for all people, it isn't that hard to be civil to each other.
Busta, perhaps as you mentioned, people are becoming more di ckish than in the 90's.
