Does age/mileage catch up with Nick Chubb or does he blow up this year? If Watson has shaken the rust and gets anywhere near he used to be, there’s good WRs and a good TE around him with KH gone as well. I’m surprised his ADP isn’t higher

Chubb is a bit like Henry to me right now in the sense that I have not SEEN them look any worse at all yet you will always have people getting trigger-shy as a RB gets into his late 20s. I thought he looked fine as the year wore down. His last 4 games carries/yards;
21 for 99
24 for 92
14 for 104
12 for 77
If Nick Chubb is my RB1 i feel absolutely fine with it. Make sure you get Jerome Ford.

I like Gibbs' upside, especially in PPR, but there are concerns about his usage (with Montgomery presumably getting significant early down and short yardage/goalline carries). I'm going to look for him around the 4th as a 2nd RB (if he goes earlier than that, I'm probably out). I would be nervous as an RB1 because if he ends up with only ~10 touches per game, it won't be enough to be more than a flex, and getting flex quality production from a guy drafted as RB1 is a season killer. If you have another RB1 already, then getting flex production from an RB2 is recoverable but getting a second RB1 is a potential league winner.

i like Gibbs where he's going. I also think Montgomery is better than he gets credit for so both will be fantasy relevant. Gibbs is going to be busy on that offense. similar to atlanta earlier, Detroit will want to prove their pick was correct by making sure he stays active on the field.
he's not a lock fantasy superstar player this year because they JUST paid Montgomery so I can't imagine they'd bring him in to sit back and watch the kid go all day. But I don't mind Gibbs in the RB 16-20 range

Years ago before Misc started dying off in general, this was one of the best FF resources on the internet.

Yeah this thread is a fantastic resource for those of us who don’t know chit, jay and murph know a lot.
Also recommend downloading the fantasy life app, the info there is right up to date (if a guy tweaks an ankle in practice it is there in minutes and hours before it hits yahoo/espn which can really help you grab players before others know). Plus experts in the business do Q/A weekly and you legit get your questions answered by FF experts like Mathew Berry when you’re on the fence between 2 guys or 2/3 guys etc

That strategy crossed my mind, I felt better going Andrews in the 2nd then Kelce in the first.
I have had success just completely ignoring the position until a lot later. I fill all my positions (excluding DEF and K) first and add a bench WR and RB first then look at a TE. Just grab 2x TE's late and typically someone pops off on waivers I can grab. Ultimately it's in a 10man league so that probably helps a lot. But outside of Kelce the top guys still only put up meaningful scores every so often anyway so I'm not concerned.
Also while everyone else fills their RB, WR and QB positions they then look for TE. That's when I can scoop up RB's and WR's for good value. A run goes then fades off.

Wonder if Pollard moves into the first round now since it seems unlikely they'll bring in another RB. Miami RBs should move up too since it seemed everyone was expecting Cook to sign there.
Still in on Stevenson especially if he falls at all. His ADP already priced in someone signing and Zeke seemed pretty washed last year. Out on Hall unless he's like a 5th round pick since I think Cook is a much bigger threat as well as any complications coming off the knee surgery.
Glad to see some clarity in some of these RB situations though. Was getting a little dicey being so close to most people's drafts.

Stevenson's ADP needs to fall a little for me to be in on him, but it probably will. If he's 4th/5th instead of 2nd/3rd, that seems right for him. Zeke will steal TDs, but other than goalline, Zeke is just going to get low value touches, and Stevenson will still be the best back to own. I really want no part of Zeke himself.
For the Jets, I'd put both Hall and Cook in that same 4th/5th round area (maybe 5th/6th for Cook). I've been wary of Hall coming back so quickly, and I think the Jets are, too. Fully healthy as a lead back, Hall is an easy late first/early second, but he was already priced with risk before Cook signed. I'd probably try to take both of these guys if I end up with one of them, and expect to use Cook early and hope Hall is 100% by the end of the season.
Miami's backfield is still a mess. The only guy I want is Achane with a late round pick (10th+). I don't want any part of Mostert or Wilson or Ahmed or whoever else is still there. Cook going there would have actually cleared up that situation more than muddled it because Cook would have been the guy to have, but now who knows?

Cook in the 5th/6th would be way too pricey for me. Especially if we're expecting Hall to finish strong then Cook might be a pretty bad start for the playoffs.
I'll probably end up with more Mostert if anyone since I expect people are going to be reaching like crazy for Achane while the other 2 will be basically free.

Did my first draft yesterday...
keyboard test full
Last 3 picks were done on auto cause yahoo is gay. Also wish I took the money on JT and Higgins and got pollard ($45) and an upgrade at qb.Ol' 71st street. The devil that birthed me.

Cook in the 5th/6th would be way too pricey for me unless I already drafted Hall. They are a combo where I think holding both is more valuable than the sum of holding each separately because Cook is basically an insurance policy against lingering issues with Hall. If the fantasy playoffs come around and Hall had to have a mid-season cleanup (like JK last year), then it's likely Cook would be a high end play, but if Hall is healthy and Cook is an afterthought by that time, it doesn't matter only if you're holding both.

i don't think Breece is good to go. Dalvin is going to play hungry with a one-year deal. I think Rodgers will love him and Rodgers re-doing his contract directly brought Cook to the Jets, so the two will have a lot riding on each other's success.
cook's a legit 3-down guy with solid hands and can pass protect. not to mention on a defensive-minded team with a QB who plays smart football above all else. for the first half the season i wouldn't mind having him at all. eventually Breece will get to 100% but who knows when that is.
