Most of these guys vehemently hate WFH because they perceive it as harming productivity. They fail to realize that happier employees tend to be more productive and less likely to jump ship.
Patrick Bet David, who I really respect, went on a fkin crusade against remote work a couple months ago. Every time he posted a video about it the comments would be flooded with hate and he normally never gets that response. His fan polls were like 80% in disagreement.
So it’s a losing battle in public opinion, but the business leaders control decision making so WFH will eventually die off.

I think he's right. I'm definitely less productive at home then when I'm in an office setting
I think it's important too that his message is aimed at company owners/CEOs who want to grow their companies and establish a good culture
Of course individual workers are going to bullchit like they do more at home. They want to continue putting in 2 days worth of work a week and getting paid for 5 days lol

People that push going into an office are usually people whose home life is a mess, their family hates them, and they don't want to go home. A shyt worker is a shyt worker anywhere. Inversely, if someone is doing everything they should, what does it matter if they're also jerking off at home while sending emails?
Elon Musk is a great example. His personal life is a mess. Has like 8 kids that don't want anything to do with him. When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Employees claim they're more productive during WFH. Employers claim they're less productive. But only the employers have data on it.
This reminds me of all the college students who said they were more productive studying in remote classes. BRB asynchronous lectures and chit. Meanwhile, mean GPAs tanked and law-student bar exam pass rates fell by 10%.FA Crew

It shows how out of touch execs are when they don’t get the wfh appeal, and simply don’t understand how much the average employee loathes their job. Not everyone is some sociopath that wants to climb the corporate ladder. To most, work is a means to an end so wfh is preferable
I get if you are a business owner or senior executive you want the office to return. But you also get outsized returns based on company performance and are the big swinging dick when walking around the office. For many of these buffoons, you take that away and they have nothing
It’d be like telling the biggest guy at the gym he has to work out at only at home , no mires, no purpose

Boomers are gonna have to get over the fact that times have changed and WFH is here to stay. Why would top tier talent go back to the office when another company lets them WFH?

Just look at how badly locking down schools for however long plus the restrictions in schools messed up education for school aged kids. One would think an adult could make the adjustment to remote (remote work rather than classes) better, but I'm not sure how much I believe it matters.
Also, it employees were genuinely more product working from home than they are at a legit workplace setting, then employers would be pushing towards that, because money is king at the end of the day. I lmao when WFH people just completely dismiss that.

WFH is a great idea in concept but every time I talk about it, there's always this one person who's friend vacations in hawaii while answering their emails or wakes up at 2 in the afternoon and has some program to move their mouse 1 cm so they don't turn to 'away' on teams
Sniff hard as fuk when guys pass by to smell their balls crew
Don't know how to hold arms when walking crew
Has to use a soundboard to order pizza crew
Order pizza and lower money from second floor in bucket crew
Bodybuilders against lifting crew

Only 1 in 6 to 1 in 7 people are psychologically suited to WFH and 1 in 3 hybrid.
We've had it since the start of the company, but we screen for the personality traits. What you need is people with a delivery focus.
Professional services, consulting etc suits WFH, as the types of people that do those jobs work just as much when WFH. General office monkeys, on the other hand, do as little as they can get away with.Screw nature; my body will do what I DAMN WELL tell it to do!
The only dangerous thing about an exercise is the person doing it.
They had the technology to rebuild me. They made me better, stronger, faster......

1. If your job can be done remotely, there's almost a 100% chance that Pajeet or Chang will do it for 1/5 the cost.
2. AI is coming and will wipe out tens of millions of white collar jobs anyway.
3. Most people do not have self-discipline, generally speaking.
4. A big part of office culture is Mr. Noseberg MOGGING the chit out of his little peons. He wants to visually see all his wagies making money for him all day. That never gets talked about, but I am convinced even if WFH improves productivity, most Nosebergs and Shekelsteins want to MOGG. We're talking about dudes with YUGE egos.

I'm on the Construction Management side of things and Neither Pajeet nor Ai can do my job. Pajeet can barely speak English let alone comprehend blueprints, do Material/labor takeoffs, talk to vendors, communicate with superintendents, subcontractors. The list goes on. Maybe it's time I find a semi wfh job
Not everybody can be replaced.

99% of people who have been replaced by Changjeet said the same thing. No one actually thinks they are replaceable, until they're replaced.
IMO, even doctors will be replaced in the coming decades. Only the wealthy will actually see people like Specialist physicians in person in 2050. Just way too much money on the table.

He never said everyone can get replaced, he say tens of millions of jobs will, it's probably under-estimating.
We outsourced all our IT and software development to overseas firms during COVID when we couldn't get our software engineers to be productive from home.
Our non customer facing customer service is also outsourced overseas, another change that was made during COVID.
If you insist to your employer that your job can be done remotely as a means to justify staying home, you're opening yourself up to be replaced by somebody overseas, who will do your job for significantly less.
It has happened, is still happening and will continue to happen.
