So 2022 is like 2013? I honestly have yet to smell it. I ran out of 2013 some years ago and never smelled the change. Or if I did and I don’t remember it.

2013 was a good performer for me. But the fresh scents perform well on my skin being I live in the south.

I've never smelled the new stuff because I still have a lot of the OG. Supposedly it is the exact same juice and they just changed the bottle to match the current lineup. They have testers at Sephora / Ulta if you want to sample first.

I always get pretty good performance - even stuff like Prada l'homme L'eau. My bottle of Man Eau Fraiche is a few years old and when I wore it for the first time this year it was noticeably stronger. I always hear that DHC has crap performance, but I have NEVER had any issues with it. Last summer I sprayed it on around noon - was outside in the high heat all day - and that night I walked past a friend and she said "ooooh, someone has something special on." Sure it's not kicking out citrus all day - but that musk hangs around for a really really long time.

I’ll probably check it out and see if I like it. I would doubt it smells the same being it’s a CD and they never, ever smell the same with the Dior Homme line in general especially when they release a new one but you never know.

Has anyone bought Aventus very recently? Thought about picking some up but saw a lot of reviews about the “new” stuff not being the same anymore. On the other hand, it seems like lots of fragrances get those complaints, so I have no idea if there are just a lot of dumb people whining.

My advice is to just find a store that has it and spray it on yourself to see how it performs on you. If you have no refernce for how it was in the past, and it works for you now, there is no reason to pay those complaints any mind.

Got my Precious Liquid Salt + Pepper decant. First few minutes you definitely smelled the salt in it. Dry down after about 20 minutes is a layered salt + pepper especially pink salt.

Depending on your nose and skin chemistry I could see it as a stand out fragrance. It just doesn't last long on me.

Tfw thought I was blind buying it. Scent smelled amazing and familiar. Turns out Sloop sampled me Gypsy Water and I had it rated 8/10 in my notes. If it would have clicked earlier prob would have just got a bottle of Gypsy Water. Can’t go wrong either way

Yeah buddy! Oasis Water is so damn close to Gypsy Water I cant even tell them apart. OW lasts considerably longer on me, that's about all really. Maybe Gypsy is a little more airy and "fluffy" smelling? The differences are minimal though.

This has become one of my favorites lately (srs). I wouldn't buy this at retail, but for getting my 100ml bottle at half off (thanks to ********), I'd say this is a pretty good buy. Incredible smell, airy feel (not too strong/dense), with decent longevity to boot. Amazing tonka base hnnnngh
