Anyways OP I cannot fuking wait. I'm disappointed by the lack of party system and I'm hoping the game doesn't become too flashy in the combat but other than that, I'm hoping for a real successor to the last FF I loved which was 12

Imo this game while pretty good and beautiful has a bunch of flaws. Being a retelling is one, being a small part of the real story is another, lots of corridors, spamming too much seph and ruining his surprise entry, horrible side quests, tedious final act, the interdimensional fate chit etc. Ending really goes off the rails, feels like they kinda rushed the game.
I think anyone new to the Series and want a true and fairly modern Final Fantasy experience I would recommend FF10 remastered or FF12 Zodiac.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Agree to disagree, gambit system was great and became amazing in Zodiac age where they overhauled a bunch of things. Did you play that version or the original? Big difference.
Also, I think it was underrated because when it came out, most of the fanbase that were kids didn't understand the mostly political story which was new for the series. But replaying as an older teen/adult you get a much better appreciation for the story. It's basically a FF version of Star Wars. I love that chit.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

they need to either remake tactics or make a tactics 2.

9 remake is definitely in the works, but given the current state of square @ releasing a bunch of flops I don't know how delayed it is. Hoping they get back to form at least with 16 and 7R part 2.
I have all my FF games on steam but thinking to at least get back a few on PS5, I revisit 8, 10 and Zodiac alot.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Hopefully they learned from FF15's flaws and made this one amazing. I really enjoyed ff15, but in a 7/10 way. If they fleshed out the story more, I think it would have been amazing, but the last bits of the game felt super rushed.

I bought 15 when I got my PS4. spent more time installing it than I did actually playing it.
I haven't played many of the new ones, but I was all about the original on NES, then the 2 for Super NES.
I recently picked up a used copy of FFX for my PS2 at the local game shop and loved it. bought the FF7 remake for PS4 but even after a few hours in, not really getting into it. I like turn based combat on the older games betterPRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1
