actually i have fought locally many times. ive been in martial arts since i was a young kid. and muay thai for the last 10 or so years.
and no, when your adrenaline is pumping during a fight you feel little 'pain', compared to just in a normal state.
you reek of casual, srs
volks shots while islam had his back did almost zero damage. period
you arguing against that shows your casual ness. welcome to mma lil buddy

Dominant at 205... "I'll go up to HW soon"
That was 10 years ago.
And.... pissed hot too many times to count
And... Lost to Anthony Smith via DQ... but Anthony Smith doesn't take the easy way out
And.... barely won his last 3
Jones is elite, just not Goat status
I mean... come on, he's scared of doing what Izzy did. Would jones go fight at HW at 205 size... like Izzy fought Jan at 185 size? not in a billion years

even volk doesn't contest that he lost round 4, because he was in a bad position.
100% on volk being unable to get out.
don't really expect casuals to know these things i suppose...

extremely little damage, not anywhere near fight ending damage.
and that will always be the case if your body is controlled, because you can't put any bodyweight or enough momentum into those short strikes while being controlled.
and the other guy you were agreeing with, is the one who brought up pain and hurting lol

Casuals would use the term "panic wrestling" here. Another stupid decision by Volk. Islam was gassed and hurt, make him get back up and hit him with more shots while he is hurt, don't allow him to lay on his back, stay safe and win the fight. Which is exactly what Islam said he did. He got hurt, went down, and protected himself to avoid making a costly mistake at that time.
Despite what he claims now, Volk knew he wasn't up, there was clear conversation in his corner of him asking multiple times if he had lost the first two so obviously, he felt he did and his corner response was you need the last 3. That showed there was not even a consideration from Volk's corner of being able to finish Islam, it was all about trying to outpoint and steal rounds, but now they are whining about getting outpointed. If you have any confidence in the skills of your fighter you don't tell him he needs to win all of the last 3 rounds, you tell him it doesn't matter, you've seen all he has, just knock this guy out.

What are you talking about dude? Are you lost from the WWE forum? Islam had complete control over Volk (as Volk stated himself, Islam had him in a dominate position and it was his job to get out of it) but he didn't even try. Not to mention Islam showed extremely dominant and intelligent ground control to get into that position. First putting Volk down, then advancing position and moving him a considerable distance toward the cage and then rolling Volk away from the cage so his body was between Volk and the cage so there was no chance he could use the cage to get up before locking the body triangle.
Volk yelling and tapping Islam showed desperation, lack of knowledge, awareness, confidence and/or all of the above to actually fight his way out of the position. Of course it is very hard to escape from that against Islam but Volk just gave up and didn't try. What he did was absolutely meaningless. Since he did have that hand free to tap Islam shows he was confident controlling the threat of the choke with his primary hand and should have been using that free arm to fight the body triangle.
With that said Volk lost nothing in that fight. He did way better than everyone thought realistically possible against Islam. Just like his teammate Izzy, those guys are rare true fighters today, both stepping up to challenge the higher weight class champ. While most guys today are looking to cherry pick easy opponents, they do the opposite, seeking out the greatest challenge they can find every time even when their chances of winning are small they do what most others won't and are better for it.

you're too dumb to understand what i'm saying
Islam had 'control' but he couldn't DO anything with it or move positions which means he was just as controlled as volk was, and HE DID LESS DAMAGE.
It's as simple as that.
It's not on volk to risk getting out when he's the one doing more damage. Stop quoting volk when you'll cherry pick some things he says but not all of it
You know damage is the number one thing now right?
