Into NC*** no contact ***
- dated this girl for a year, she always had the upper hand
- finally she broke it off with me randomly and blocked me
- about 1.5 weeks into strict NC now . Still getting random episodes of intense anxiety , depression.
The anxiety usually occurs through the day while I'm at work ( stress ) and it's usually just an empty feeling during nights and I'm triggered easily by certain music etc .
How long until my brain resets and is no longer thinking about her like some sort of an addict?
I've basically accepted this is my fate for the next 2 months ?~
Been trying to come up with new viable prospects but so far the search is bleak with maybe a few leads
Anybody with experience with this shed some light ! Thx

The whole idea of nc is to not think about the sloot
You aren’t talking to her but talk about her constantly
If you’re going to do that you should try talking to an actual professional and listen to their advice/try to implement it.
Rn you’re acting like conics asking for advice and never taking it.
Also you say “like some sort of addict”
You are an addict. You can’t go a day without smoking weed.

Depends on how long and intense the relationship was OP.
After a 3+ years LTR with her living with me for ~1 year, it took me 6-9 months to be open to finding something else serious. I did see a therapist too during that time, but after a while realized it wasn't something I needed/wanted anymore.
Being content and happy with yourself in solitude, looking toward the future with goals and excitement. When you're doing those things you know you've moved on. My ex creeps into my head from time to time still, but the tone of the thought isn't "those were good times," or "I miss her/that," instead it's "glad I moved on," and "man this other girl is so much better," or "yeah she did that cool thing once but she was X Y Z and she probably is w/ another guy dissatisfied now too."i7-14700k
