We know some of you here (including me), still train your bodies.
But what about your intelligence?
Surely, you don't want early-onset dementia.
Does miscing help you boost your intelligence? (j/k)
For me, languages, computers, and decision-making skills (at work) help me in that sense. But as always, my story is boring,
So tell me yours.

First, I begin the day by hiking up the village mountain. At the top of the mountain I make the exact calculations it will take to make the flight in my wingsuit, then I navigate the mountains in the suit, and land like an eagle on top of my desired target, a goat, which I ride back to the top of the mountain and repeat for the entire day without food or water. Once the hypothermia begins to set in, I begin to rapidly jerk off as I'm flying to keep warm, obviously. Landing on the goats becomes increasingly difficult, as my cock and balls are out and it will hurt to land, but I manage to land on a cow. This isn't a story about beastiality, you sik fuks. I had my cock out to keep warm, remember? Anyway, I quickly jump off the cow and twirl my dick in helicopter pattern, which propels me to the top of the mountain once more where I ejaculate.
Repeat 20 times a day, calculating all the while.
Do I think I'll get dementia from being dumb? No. But I might get it from all the calculating.Catholic
With a baggy T-shirt on, I look small, but I'm jacked.
I lift light weights and do a small amount of cardio.

No, I don't.
We have our own version of chess (8x8), it's called Shogi (9x9).
I play a short version of Shogi, which is called Tsume shogi, designed to play by a solo player. Kinda puzzle that focuses on checkmating the king using pre-given scores and pieces.
The rule is simple,
1. All your moves must be checks.
2. You must checkmate the opponent's king with a predetermined number of moves. (usually the last 1, 3, 5 or 7 moves)
A sample, you got to checkmate within 5 moves with no spare pieces in your hand.
Believe me, far better than crossword puzzles.
My kind of miscer!

I think reading, even fiction, is one of the best ways to keep your mind sharp. It exposes you to new ideas that hopefully you will follow-up on with further reading.
I like to play simple games that I believe help my mind. I cycle back to sudoku frequently -- I will play it for a few weeks and then get burned out and then come back to it later on. Many of the games listed here as "Simon Tatham's Portable Puzzle Collection" are designed to make you think.

Lately I have been obsessed with the game 9 Men's Morris, but it is somewhat infuriating because I can't figure out how to win on harder AI levels.
In general, I try not to give up when faced with a challenge. I am constantly learning new skills and branching out to do certain things like fix my vehicles or do home repairs with the help of a YouTube video and some reading. (All of that is within reason, I will still go to a professional when needed.) Edit: Oftentimes learning from my mistakes is the most important part of attempting certain things myself.
Sometimes helping my kids with homework helps to keep my mind sharp because I have to relearn some science and math that I have long forgotten.Last edited by jreacher; 10-16-2022 at 03:24 AM.

Reading and learning new skills
I have recently taken up drumming and will get back into learning/relearning languages soon. I know enough Spanish and Japanese to get by with and can read and write in katakana/hiragana, although I am rusty as all hell. I also know a bit of bahasa indonesia/melayu....so yeah, now our benevolent overlords are allowing us to travel again I need to get back into itJudo crew

I hear different languages help a lot.
Really, just connecting to a healthy social environment where you fit in does a lot.
Male competition like in sports also seems like a good idea.
Reading helps except requires a low stress environment. Probably my most consistent move is reading while biking for 15+ min on a stationary bike.

I work on my memory a lot, I learned awhile back that just repeating something isn't enough, you have to actively add it to memory. Working on this has helped my learning a ton. There are a bunch of techniques but here are a couple of simple examples. I do this with my shopping list, say I want to buy an apple, ketchup, and dog food. I'll imagine an apple driving a ketchup car with a dog as the passenger. Do you want to do that every time? Probably not but it does get easier and you can add a fairly long list to memory. If you're trying to remember names think of someone your already know. If you meet someone named Steve, connect them to Steve Urkel or something. There's a bunch of exercises that help with this and there's even ways to learn numbers like your cc.
