"My outer appearance was poor, but in this way my inner world became richer than anyone else's. Was it not natural that a young boy who suffered from an indelible drawback like mine should have come to think that he was a secretly chosen being? I felt as though somewhere in this world a mission awaited me of which I myself still knew nothing." --Yukio Mishima

Unfortunately I can’t see from my living room unless there actually leaning back against the railing .
Should have at least had a peep hole and ideally had hooked up my camera system.
Would have saved me a lot of pain , and to think the pains just getting started .
Regardless though , if these guys were intent on getting someone at my address, I think they’d figure out a way regardless.
I’m 99% positive my neighbour is accountable for all this . Probably gave my address to his pusher when he fronts him blow.
I swear the guys that much of a loserMake Misc great again

Reading the OP I thought I was going to get Bel Aired. glad you're ok. Doesn't sound like he was trying to kill you (or your neighbor), just making a point or rob him to collect.
Had 3 hooligans try to kick my door in once. Luckily they gave up. Even with a gun I was pretty shook, can't imagine if I didn't have it.
Get some form of protection. Cameras are nice to identify people before or after, but they're not going to protect you.☆ MissChill Appreciation Crew ☆ Owner ☆ Σ ☆

Exactly, it's a critical part of security that's often overlooked. Many people will go purchase firearms to protect their home but never take the time to consider how easily/quickly their home can be breached. If a criminal can kick your door in, that's a breach in less than a second and you could be starring down the barrel of a gun before you get the chance to get to yours. Big glass sliding doors are also easy to breach. More people should invest in security doors to ensure that if they're target for home invasion they have time to ready a weapon while also calling authorities.

on my house the bullets went in at a steep angle because they were shooting down the street (lived on corner) so I never found bullets.
neighbor's house had bullets go through the side of the house, across the living room, and lodged in front wall. (that was from a previous drive by)☆ MissChill Appreciation Crew ☆ Owner ☆ Σ ☆

Yup a standard door can be kicked down by 1 kick, so like 1 second. Then they are in your house. If they are armed, its now weapon against weapon.
You need a security door rated to withstand impact. They still will eventually get in (if determined enough) but a lot of low level thugs wont be able to get in, the rest will take time so you can arm ready, and call police. Most will take off if its taking too long to get inside anyway.
I got security film on my windows as well, so they dont easily break.they / them

Right, but not only is it potentially weapon vs weapon, the invaders have the element of surprise on their side. A 1 second breach in your home at 3am while you're in full REM sleep and they head straight to the master's bedroom and have their gun on you is difficult to defend against. This is why pros (SWAT, SEALs, etc,) use fast breaching techniques to go into buildings, they use the element of surprise and speed to ambush who they're after.

Knocking at 11pm with some dude on the other side, even where I live I have a pistol in my hand. Also when you open your door a crack, if it's possibly someone suspicious, make sure you have shoes on and plant your foot at the base of the door on the off chance they barge in.

Geez to think we live in a world where we have to worry about bullets going threw our walls.
This actually sounds like a business opportunity, bullet resistance insulation
Btw Thank you Misc for your concern and comments bruhs .
It was a dumbarese move on my part . Strange as I’ve never had an encounter like this in 61 years of being on this planet .
I still can’t believe I opened the door now , and as I mentioned, I thought about it and then thought I was just being paranoid . Lesson learned and then some I guess . It’s just a shame the guy couldn’t have been caught and had some accountability.
The worst of my pain it yet to come ,as next week they may have to rebreak my still broken noseMake Misc great again
