I think social media and dating apps have done something. Everyone is completely addicted to those things now so we don't have the dopamine to do other stuff anymore such as work or socialize. I am noticing a huge difference in the work culture at work. People don't want to do anything. Everyone is quitting. They can't hire people. Customer service is bad everywhere. I've had to start buying more food at the grocery store to cook at home now.

I don't notice this as much when it comes to gen xers but boomers about to retire and people in their 20s and 30s i know seem to have opted out. Idk what the solution is.

Humans are social by nature and now with social media, dating apps and clown world turning people into vapid, passive aggressive potatoes, dudes are just naturally losing drive/purpose. Wasn't like this 10/20 years ago. Everyone was in a better state and things felt natural, organic and authentic.

If men don't have healthy social lives to interact, share ideas and do activities with as well as not having dating options because women are all vapid, attention seeking sloots, it causes men to subconsciously check out. So much of man's drive comes from wanting a partner, family, healthy/balanced social life and opportunities. Isolation is terrible and that's why it's used as a form of punishment.

Plus there's chemicals, sedentary lifestyle and other factors that are effecting test levels. We're not in a good place. I personally catch myself rotting more than I use to.

Even 7-8 years ago people were barely on social media or dating apps man. I remember in 2014 people would post some going out pics for FB once a week but that was about it. None of my friends or acquaintances cared about social media. There's data coming out now that cell phone usage is increasing dramatically. People check their phones 344 times per year now. Up 31% since last year. This isn't normal man.

People can't put their phones down. I see people driving like shiit, risking their lives and others' just so they can play on their phones. I even see sloots trying to park while texting, only to hit the curb. They can't even put it down for 10 seconds to park the car.

When I see people outside walking, all are hunched over on their phones. I can't for the life of me understand what is so fascinating on that tiny screen that they can't even put it down to walk, drive or eat.

Everywhere i go people are on their screens or listening through air pods. I don't get it either. I try to unplug and talk to people but they just say one sentence answers or start staring hard into their screens more. Even at the gym i used to go there and talk to a lot of dudes about hitting PR's and chit but nowadays you go there and it's just people listening to music or filming tik toks in groups. I'm completely baffled at this point.

I'm just seeing people at work walking on egg shells and not doing anything about the issues man. I don't see how this will ever get better since nobody ever takes initiative. The gym was once a place I could go to still engage in locker room talk and escape from clown world but it has now just become a nightmare. It's full of little zoomer twinks filming dance videos in groups of 10, flexing their malnourished abs in the mirrors, sloots barely wearing clothes then complaining if someone is within 20 yards of them and boomers talking politics.

I been going to the same gym for almost 10 years. Same time, late at night and it use to be only a handful of bros just lifting heavy and talking chit. These day, I don't even recognize the place anymore.

Yeah the gym used to be a place where there'd only be a few strong dudes in there trying to hit PR's but now 90% of the gym is broccoli heads that have 13 inch arms. I don't know how it got like this. I can't go in there anymore.

One thing is the bar is being set ever higher for the same level of success people used to have a couple generations ago. Sure many things are easier to come by these days but many, many other important things take 10x as much effort and have less returns than before.

Gotta work harder for the same type of job your parents had, the job requires more qualifications now.

And you need to "wear multiple hats" and do extra chit without extra pay
And the benefits are less
And you need to save up more money for longer to afford a higher down payment for a house

That's how I feel about this site. People looking for information are greeted with open hostility or masturbatory ****posting at best. I have to wonder how many people were entirely turned off from the bodybuilding lifestyle after encountering this community, it's barely a shadow of what it used to be. And I also have to wonder if that's just a symptom of modern society in general; at this point, you're either already part of an insular community and drinking the same kool-aid, or you can just **** right off. That's no way to build or sustain anything.

Customer service is eliminated/automated. If not, everyone is so entitled that all entry level customer service positions that ride from fast food all the way up to your servers at middle/upper-tier restaurants give you some kind of attitude if you don't act exactly like they want you to act. Servers at these middle/upper tier restaurants can make like 70-80k for doing a pretty easy job for the most part. They should be grateful.
