Fear not, Fookers. For it gets a lot better if you push through the blues and negative feelings. I was a hopeless pussy in my early 20's, would do anything for a piece of sweet female arse (but rarely got it), had a chit paying job, no true friends (They all got married and had awesome jobs and success was handed to them) and I could barely get out of bed some days.

Pushed through, never gave up, kept at it, started lifting, got a better paying job with great benefits in my late 20's, bought a condo, rented it out, got married, bought a house, bought a 2nd house, sold the first house, had a kid, had another kid. Now I'm early 40's and live in a Million dollar + house on a mountainside, still have no friends, a sexless marriage and 2 sweet kids. You can almost have it all, just don't give up.

The most depressing thing is having a Dad bod, but chicks still dig it.

I’m on meds. If you are in that state I would suggest that you see a psychiatrist asap or go to the ER. The ER will get you a psychiatrist ASAP. In my area it can take months before you can see a psychiatrist.

It's true, when i was most depressed i would congratulate myself if I could take out the trash, shower, etc.

I think most people just get caught in the idea they should chase money and career but the thing is idc about that stuff or material things anymore i just wanna learn stuff, do my hobbies and improve my physique. But it's so lonely.

I was just in the office and people mostly talked about their kids at lunchtime. I remember when I started out in my 20s the conversations were all about their kids and I couldn't relate. It was really tough. Now I'm the one with the older child so they come to me for advice as most of my co-workers have younger kids.

I didn't hear any talk about Netflix, thank goodness!

Felt the same way for many years. At some point you have to get out of your comfort zone and find someone to do things with. Sometimes that means going places alone and doing things you're interested in.

I think most people with social lives are either extremely extroverted or happened to keep in contact with lifelong friends from when they were young or in College. I messed up by not making the right friends in school who basically ghosted on me a year or two after high school was over. Didn't get to stay in contact with most of the friends where I previously lived since it was before smartphones were around so I just lost touch with the vast majority of them when I moved away. I only have 1 friend I stay in contact with regularly but I never hang out with them anymore since they live in another state. I have 2 other friends but I rarely even talk to them anymore outside of wishing each other a Happy Birthday or we chat on very rare occasions. I just don't get how life became so boring. Even entertainment like gaming & movies just isn't as good as it used to be. Unless you're well off with a good job you enjoy or have a strong social circle life is just so boring.

Idk how to cope anymore I've now went 7 years hearing nothing but tv show convos I went to therapy and all they said was go on meetup.com but I don't want to meet people online. I've always been against that. I just don't know what to do because these aren't the kind of convos I used to have with people.

Living with depression isn't easy. It's so hard to even get up to do household chores.

I don't get why I can't be on an even keel in mood. My mood ALWAYS changes everyday. Throughout the day my mood fluctuates constantly until late at night where I usually feel my best. Working out just temporarily helps until it wears off. I seriously wish my brain MRI showed wtf is wrong with me.

Same my mood is constantly changing and i can't control it. I also usually all of a sudden feel good after about 9pm too.

When I don't work I'm usually up really late at night since I feel at my best late but I always get the normal 7-9 hours of sleep. My issue always is when I wake up I just feel super sluggish & have mood swings throughout the day until night time again. My moods are like a roller coaster every day outside of after like 10-11PM until I go to sleep so I only get a good 4-5 hours a day where I feel mainly normal while the other 10 hours I'm either super miserable or just feel ok at best.

It's easier to do the easy thing. The majority do the easy things because it's easy. Watching netflix and shopping and social media, for examples, are easy. A lot of people are content in this kind of enjoyment. There is nothing wrong with being content.

Being complacent is boring but it's easy. Those who are complacent fantasize more to life but choose to do nothing to change because it's the easy way. Complacency is a problem.

There is no need to go out of your way to find people who have common interests. It will occur naturally. Through developing your interests you can develop a social circle. Social circle meaning mostly acquaintances. Respectable distance is better.

Separate work from life. Clock in, be friendly and professional, clock out. Most people want to clock in clock out and get their paycheck to enjoy their simple life of starbucks, fast food, netflix, and shopping.

Build a wall of small improvements in your life. Take a shower and say to yourself you smell good af. Look in the mirror and say you look hot af. Look at your gf and say she's sexy af. Pick up a hobby / hobbies. Play recreational sports. Dress yourself better.


Sincerely, me, a person who is complacent af. Life really kind of boring not gonna lie.
