One of the few sports misc threads where I can almost find each response reasonably valid...
There are way too many good QBs in the league to even consider any other position tho

not even saying it due to recency bias. Allen has a good schedule. Hes an AFC East team, so he gets the Jets, Dolphins x2 each. Bills play the nFC north, he gets to beat up on Chicago/Detriot/Minny which all have expected below average defences and could be shootout games.
Its one thing to like another QB more, but to say its recency bias is underestimating the impact schedule has on stat-piling and wins. Hes the surest bet to be the QB of a division winner, who will put up pass TD and rush TD stats.
He's the favourite for a reason, not just because of 2 playoff games.Keep mod discussions out of your sig line

That argument makes sense but you have to consider schedule strength .
Their schedule is actually harder this year than last. According to this site below, they effectively had the EASIEST schedule in football last year. And they still made it more of a struggle to win the division than people expected. Yes you can point to what should be some easy wins, but its overall expected to be a much harder schedule.
So its not hard to imagine them underperforming expectation that they're basically going to dominate. That's what happened last year, the bills still won the division but it was more of a struggle than people thought the perception was they underperformed and Allen at the end of the day wasnt in the MVP conversation because of it.

The counter to this argument is he should have a functioning offensive line this year. That could definitely make a huge difference.
My main concern with him and bengals in general is regression from Chase more than Burrow. One leads to the other, but I think its more that Chase wont absolutely go off several times to get them wins by himself.Manlet Master Race

Anyone who thinks Sleepy Joe Burrow will win NFL MVP this year has a dangerously low IQ and should honestly get hit by a drunk driver like Lunatic.
All it takes is Mookie Betts, Steph Curry, and Joe Burrow all sitting in the same car in order for one drunk driver to make the world a significantly better place.

WTf are you even talking about? Besides absolute HOF’ers, EVERYONE regresses to their mean after peak years.
And it’s only QB’s, not the team, right? Like the QB doesn’t stand to gain the most from team overall playing well?
And so it’s only the Super Bowl huh? Like the NFL doesn’t pay attention to studs who lose earlier on the playoffs?
Kap’s next two years as a full time starter were his best years after his playoff run in 2012 .
Lol, so it was the league catching up to Cam in his only his 5th year?
Goff was always a system QB.
And Jimmy G has been the same guy (when healthy) the whole time in SF, and had them in the NFC Championship game last year.
Lol, also please show me what QB’s ever make it to play in multiple Super Bowls. You’ll notice a trend.

No agent in their right mind should EVER let their client step on the field playing under their 5th year option, especially a QB. But since Lamar is his own agent, I can see this thing ending VERY badly for either side.
Hope not, cuz I like kid and always liked the Ravens in the AFC.Epic Beard Man crew
