Yup, the 275 card is absolutely insulting. Anyone that pays for it should be smacked. Who the f is Jiri Prochazka? A guy with a whole two UFC fights a year apart, sits around doing nothing for another entire year now gets a title shot headlining a PPV? That's the best we got at LHW? I won't even waste my time streaming that crap who even cares what happens? LHW is absolutely dead.
276 is a stacked because Izzy is headlining as a superstar and everyone wants to be a backup dancer hoping to catch a dollar hanging off his coattails. Honestly I expect the main event to be very boring as Cannonier will not engage with Izzy at all as the skill level in every aspect is so far apart. Cannonier's striking is very dumb and slow, just loading up and launching haymakers hoping to get lucky and even when he has landed them doesn't have crazy power. Paulo Costa is a much better striker and we all know what happened when he went toe to toe with Izzy. Izzy will head kick Cannonier to oblivion if he tries but probably won't impregnate him like he did Costa.

Jiri is legit, should be a great fight, who the phuck else is going to fight for the title? Jan lost badly to Teixeira, Rakic is on the mend, Smith is fighting Ankalaev.
But there should never be under any circumstances two WMMA fights headlining a UFC main card, ever. Even if two of those fighters happen to be Shevchenko and Joanna. I agree that card lacks star power but it does have some potential. Bontorin and Kape I think is a bit of a sleeper fight but still. They needed to replace either Valentina or Joanna with another big title fight and I think the card would have been okay.
But hey at least the card after that with Kattar and Emmett looks pretty decent lol, also has Lauzon vs Cerrone and Holland vs Means. UFC Fight Night looks good as well with Magny vs Rakhmonov and Tsarukyan vs Gamrot. Umar Nurmagomedov as well. Not really sure what OP is talking how there's "no decent UFC" until July 2nd. Those two cards are alone are probably among the stronger ones.positivity brah crew

They should quote that in the UFC 275 promos. Buy this PPV for the LHW main event title fight between a 42 year old champ and his opponent that probably don't remember ever seeing in UFC because who the phuck else is there! That title is meaningless when the reasoning for picking the challenger is lack of having anyone else.
Completely agreed, one bathroom break on the main card is ok but two in a row should be illegal. Whittaker vs Vettori was that fight originally scheduled to make the 275 card okay, but UFC realized that matchup is too good to waste in that bad card and pulled it to announce as the co-main of UFC's first event in Paris.
The Fight Nights do look exciting but I get what OP is talking about referring to a "UFC". "Fight Nights" are not a "UFC". A "UFC" is a numbered PPV that costs a decent amount of money to watch legitimately and are expected to be major, exciting event with expectations that the main card showcase the absolute best the sport has to offer with fighters showing up to deliver a show win or lose. 275 does not meet those expectations. Unfortunately Dana White can count on his fingers the number of fighters capable of actually driving PPV buys beyond what UFC generates on its own and a bunch of "fighters" whining about not getting paid enough begging for fights against Conor and Nate but not willing to put any effort into doing the work those guys have to actually earn that money.

I mean, granted it might be a bit early for Prochazka. Would have liked to see him get one more fight under his belt, perhaps vs a Rakic or a Jan but that fight already went through. But he destroyed Volkan and Dominick so it kinda works for me. If anything it will probably be an exciting fight. Granted that the fight doesn't go to the ground bc Prochazka's grappling is a bit of an unknown. But the guy is so strong and athletic he might be able to stuff them. I like the fight regardless.
Wasn't really sure what OP was referring to. I just assumed he meant all cards when referring to the UFC. It's a bit of a moot point to title the thread as such since "UFC" cards are like once a month anyways. Regardless there's some good fights out there on these other cards.Last edited by sooby; 06-07-2022 at 06:56 AM.

Agreed. The whole division is kinda dead so maybe Jiri can bring it back to life. He should literally be able to run circles around Glover but Glover is as tough as they come. I'm worried with Jiri's inactivity and lack of experience in this type of fight he may end up doing just that, running around in circles too worried about Glover getting a hold of him to throw his kicks but let's watch and see.
Agreed again. While UFC 275 is the weakest PPV card we've seen this year, you can't win them all and there is a lot of excitement and great fights going on in UFC as a whole right now.

Says a casual after the events are over that clearly doesn't understand that great cards aren't about a bunch of fights ending in quick KOs. I absolutely loved watching these events too, but only enjoyed the fight night because I watched it on replay so I was able to fast forward through the massive amount of filler due to number of short fights they needed to cover. I don't think I would have made it through watching live as there was just not that much anticipation for the matchups kinda like trying to watch a preseason NFL game vs a playoff game. They just aren't the same.
You were really hyped and blown away watching those two main card women's fights leading up to the main event for 275? get out of here poser.Last edited by Cartiac; 06-23-2022 at 04:42 AM.
