it looks awsome on my 60" sony sxrd. by the if you aint blu raying, you dont know what your missing.

All 4 numbered GTA's are in Liberty City, aka New York. The spinoffs were Vice City (Miami) and San Andreas (LA).

Thoughts so far - Brucie is funny as hell. Manny's fate is awesome. I hate the clothes in this game, but, I did manage to unlock the GTA 3 outfit (green cargo pants and a black zipup jacket) that is great. The Most Wanted missions are fun.

Blue ray is overrated... I actually get sick watching a blue ray movie, seriously. I have to turn the 'realistic' filter off.

Any way GTA4 X360> GTA4 PS3

why is the X360 better then the PS3? I'm not familiar with either system so clue me in.

Game selection, online play, and a few others... I have both, just feel that XBOX360 is the better overall system. Xbox 360's graphics engine is designed to be like a P.C., unlike the PS3's 'Cell' that has game producers still baffled on how to attack this to get the best game possible.

I was just stating GTA4 is better for the XBOX 360 because it will have downloadable content, unlike ps3 who get nothing.

got ya. but... the main reason I'm even interested in PS3 is the 1080P capability with the Blue Ray which will also play movies if I decide to go this route. Damn, now you got me having to do more research on the XBox 360 unit.

Well, Xbox 360 is 1080p compatible as well... However, Microsoft stopped production on their HD movie player that supported 1080p movies in favor of the Blue-Ray. In a little under a year, X360 will have a Blue-Ray player released. Again, an extra cost on top of your X360 purchase, making it a lot more.

Either way, ps3 is no longer ps2 backwards compatible, which is a real turn off for me.

do you happen to have any links for PS3 to XBox 360 comparisons? Something in a checklist of features of one to the other? I've read some comparsions reviews thus far, but I'd like to see a spec list of each.

anyone ever get all the stars yet(wanted level)? i can't get the last one....i shot down atleast 15-20 choppers and they still would not put me on the highest wanted level

same here, it seems to me that 360 has the advantage being cheaper with similar if not better games. GTA 4, Halo 3, Gears of War, Call of Duty 3, etc

only one it doesnt have is the Metal Gear series.... I believe

You could just wait it out a bit more. I know they're probably working on a cheaper slim ps3, or maybe even a 360 price drop. Either way, if you adopt the system later into its life-cycle, you'll get better games and the older AAA titles you always wanted to play will be on the cheap. There's going to be a ton of game announcements soon. I'd browse around and see which titles appeal to you most.

GTA 4 is indeed an addicting, fun, badass game. A few missions and I will have the main storyline complete.

Do you guys use the steering capability of the tiliting the controller for motorcycles, helicopters, boats, reloading, etc

I think it seems pretty cool but I am not that good with it yet.

I dont think that is possible with Xbox is it?

Motion sensor controllers are Wii and PS3 only.

actually san andreas was a knock off of the entire state of california.

i turned the motion on for choppers, its pretty fun.
UPDATE: im currently 65% done with the game.....but ive deviated from the single player for a week or so, online is the ****.

IMO ps3 is good enough to make you forget about ps2...and if you really need it that bad just get out the ol ps2 and plug it in, or go get one lol

lol i waited in the GTA4 line at gamestop to get it, well.. i was in my car chillen like a villain (too lazy to stand in one spot for 3 hours)

The game is AMAZING.

haha, I have played a few times when I should have been studying.....but luckily I have pretty good willpower so I can study before playing. I really could just play this game for an entire day straight though.
