-porsche consulted with the engineering
-basic engine didn't change in 10+ years
-No direct injection to mess around with
-no head gasket issues
-uses a different CVT compared to the H4.
-still gets 28-30mpg

I'll keep driving my 955 Cayenne Turbo in the bad weather tho. Driving old RWD german cars in the snow was thebestman. They all have gone up so much that it's tough to justify exposing them to salt.
