Wtf is up with this, we now have Netflix, Disney +, amazon prime, Paramount + and a few others that i may not acknowledge at the moment
Seems like they just consolidated a bunch of TV channels into single on demand platforms

Refuse to ever pay for netflix again.
Even though most other services are cucked as hell too, I use HBO max and Hulu.
IMDB TV is underrated IMO and free if you don't mind commercials. It is basically cable without having to pay for the service. Selection is limited but better quality with shows/movies rotated out frequently.

I signed up for a whole bunch of free trials for all the ones I could think of. Watched all the films and shows I was interested in and then cancelled before getting charge. The only one I got charged with was HBOMAX.
If you guys have suggestions, I'd appreciate it. Here's the ones I've used.
HBOMAX
Netflix
HULU
Showtime
AMC
Cinemax
STARZ
Roku
Tubi
Amazon Prime
Peacock
Shudder

I'm at 4 right now. Prime but only because of free delivery, AT&T TV gets me local channels plus I get HBO through that for $5/month, Netflix of course, and Disney+ which my kids watch most of the time.

Actually save money on my cable bill going the subscription route.
It seems annoying and greedy, but really it's similar to what alot of people were calling for years ago: only paying for channels you watch.ωσяℓ∂ тяανєℓєя ȼяєω

I have Netflix. I don't spend all day watching TV, so Netflix alone has more than enough content to keep me fully occupied.
I wouldn't have enough time to watch 2 different streaming services. If I added another subscription, I would be wasting money.
Lastly - from what I read, Netflix still has the best selection of shows / movies per dollar. HBO Max is 2nd. Disney is a distant third. Disney+ gets all their subscriptions from their name value alone.

Spotify: Need it for the tunes and podcasts
Amazon Prime: Want the prioritized shipping and deals, also enables Prime TV (which I've been watching lately, including for some TV series' that aren't on anything else) and Twitch Prime.
Crunchy Roll: Anime, though I recently cancelled it if I'm not mistaken, haven't watched anime in a while.... will wait another year maybe so I have lots of stuff to binge later for another "anime phase"
Netflix: Good movies/shows, though looks like the other platforms are better in some areas these days... The Last Kingdom is my latest Netflix series
Hulu: I don't pay for this GF does, but it has South Park, and other tv series' / movies
Disney+: Mandalorian. Nothing else, other than maybe when you're looking for something specific, and you've already tried your other streaming platforms, so this is being browsed as a last resort lol
I'd say from those subs... I'd rank them as below.
Amazon Prime > Spotify > Netflix > Hulu > Crunchy Roll* > Disney+
*Crunchy Roll can be higher or lower on the list, depending on if you're actually in the mood for anime. I'd put it no higher than Netflix though.
Pretty sure I'm not forgetting anything else. Unless you consider Xbox/PlayStation subscriptions. Or subscriptions for MMOs you might be playing.i7-14700k

You have a point. My ex had used to have us set up for torrenting.
I have Prime, but not for the streaming. Not sure it is worth keeping as I haven't really ordered much in quite awhile. Hulu w/commercials which I got for $24 for the year. Netflix which seems to have the most content that I actually watch...lot of foreign stuff when I can deal with reading subtitles, good amount of fantasy/sci-fi. And Netflix has series that my daughter likes to watch. NYT, though I could probably drop it as little as I've been using it recently. Might be worth dropping something and getting YouTube without commercials instead since I watch that a lot more than Prime.INTP Crew

I only have netflix.
For everything else I have a pirate ship.
Well, I also have Prime.. but that's just because it's free with Prime.
I giggled reading this. You download one program, install it (requires no set up), than click a link to download a torrent.

I just have netflix and prime (just for shipping but occasionally watch it). I don't try to sign up to every streaming platform. I just need one main one when I'm lazy and just need to throw something quickly on the tv. There's probably only 3-4 tv series and maybe 5-6 movies a year that i actually care about seeing and I just torrent those.
