The amount you sweat doesn’t necessarily correlate to harder workouts. But I get your point. Lots of people go to the gym to half-ass it, chit around with their buddies or on their phones half the time instead of working out. It doesn’t bother me unless I’m waiting for a power rack and we got 4 college guys taking turns on one rack

Not true.
Too many benefits from working out, exercising to even list.
Helps insulin sensitivity, preserves bone density, muscle tone, preserves muscle, etc, etc.
You can be healthy I suppose, just eating right, but you won't be particularly strong, flexible etc.
I would consider those components of being "healthy", not just being thin. The billionaire and the beggar both have 24 hours in a day.

Kind of a sidenote/tangent, but after reading about all the supposed benefits of nasal breathing and how it's supposed to be far superior to mouth breathing (I guess the whole "mouth breather" insult has substance) - I really try to breath through my nose as much as possible when doing cardio and...one thing I noticed is I seem to sweat a lot less when doing that.

The real problem for most is they don't enjoy work-out hard enough!

Sure, could be said about the fat ones
but what about for the skeletors of the world?
I leave the gym once my CNS is completely obliterated, did i pass your benchmark m8?
in all srsness,
what most people don't do is carefully stick to their nutrition with consistency and listen to their bodies when working out. What works for one person might not work for another but the stigma out there is that ''FOLLOW THIS ROUTINE AND YOU'LL BE BIG LIKE ME'' and it's toxic as fuk
as long as you put in 110% and you stay consistent with it, hard work will pay offif you need someone to chat with, don't hesitate to shoot me a PM.

i've been pushing the sled every single day for 3 months, working up to 500 pounds, at the end of every workout (6 days a week.) it's the most intense my training has ever been, helped me realize how i was getting by with the bare minimum for the last few years once i started really killing myself at the end of each workout. the results have been ridiculous. meanwhile you have dudes doing 15 rep chest flies and 3.2 mph walks on treadmills never changing. don't get that mentality. even in the past i made sure my heavy compound was a real test to start each workout.

This in regards to my days.
I will do 40ish minutes of cardio on my leg days AFTER i've done my leg lifts.
Ill do 40 minutes of cardio on my weekend day simply because I have more free time and nothing else to do, but cardio is simply supplementing my workout. I focus primarily on making progress on the lifts first and foremost.
I try not to judge what others are doing in the gym. I probably wouldn't go at all if I didnt have goals/wanted to make progress. Going in and just lifting the same stuff and not working hard over and over and over again seems like a waste of my time, if I were result focused. At that rate, id rather just stay home and watch TV or just go for a walk outside or something. But to each their own.Proof Angels exist: OzleyASMR

As I get older I lean towards trying to be more wise and efficient with the time I spend doing certain things. Over the past few years I have incoproated a different style of training that are aligned with my goals of having overall cardio health, burning calories, while continuing to shape muscle (notice I didnt say build)
On every session I follow a program that someone else set up for me long term based on my goals
I am hooked up to a heart rate monitor and I know exactly what "zone" i need to be in at any given time
And they write in lifts that are supportive of my efforts and also address my imbalances.
Its really easy to decide not to do front squats or even legs all together that week because you didnt feel like it.
When someone else is telling you to do XYZ, and you can see real time where your body is at, it changes the overall dynamic and informs you just how much work you are actually putting in.

1. Sweat is not a reliable indicator of calories burned.
2. Walking around outside (40-60 minutes) is my favorite form of cardio.
Cardio is boring as sh!t so getting a dog, and a girlfriend to go walking/hiking with you tends to make that more enjoyable.
As far as lifting weights, sure, I'd argue most people don't use enough intensity. If your not progressively overloading and your not going to failure. How the fukk do you know if your pushing yourself.
