Looks like it's back in stock, thinking of pulling the trigger. I have a question on dimensions. I'm good with the 83" height. They list the Length as 55", I'm guessing this from outside support pole to outside support pole. They have the width as 54". Does anyone that has this unit know if this is the actual depth or the length of the bottom angled support base? I'm more concerned with the actual depth of it, how far it will stick out from the wall. I won't be able to put it into a corner. One video I saw of it says it's a very shallow profile and isn't even 3' deep.

FTX is very similar to FT1 so I went to the Inspire page. Looking through the pictures I noticed the legs really do extend well beyond the machine and despite having scene, examined, and used an FT1 first hand...I never noticed that and it may be what's driving that depth measurement aside from the bench. Take a look for yourself. Maybe give them a call: https://inspirefitness.com/product/f...ional-trainer/
Honestly if it's going in a corner which it's largely designed for I don't see a real issue as long as it isn't close to a door or hallway but the legs do extend.▪█─────█▪ Rogue Barbell Crew #27 ▪█─────█▪

Thanks for the info. I went ahead and pulled the trigger. Now I can take my own advice I've recently given and buy it and find a place for it later.

Congrats on the new toy, it's weird I really see no profound differences between the Inspire FTX and FT1 from afar...the only thing I see is no weight stack sheath/veil and no exercise chart (who cares about those anyway), if those two things are what's preventing people from saving literally hundreds off of it then count me in as well one day! Lol.
By the way, I've read before about the previous FT1 model and just recently the FTX model that the pull up bar doesn't need to be installed if height is ever an issue in anyone's space.
Edit: The FTX also appears to include the bench which I don't think the FT1 did which highered its price...since you're getting one included and at a lower price point with the FTX, you can flip it and get an additional discount off of it.
It seems like a great deal all around!Last edited by Deep-Voiced-One; 12-28-2020 at 05:41 AM.

I'm stoked, just waiting to hear from the delivery company. Costco's website said this Wednesday, but I'm having a hard time believing that. I've got an old Body Solid plate loaded lat pulldown/low row machine that I'm either going to sell or put in storage. I've been doing my pulldowns/seated rows on my IronMaster IM2000, much smoother. I have a feeling my wife will be using the FTX for a lot of things including pulldowns. She's going to like not having to load plates. The bench that it comes with is quite short from what I've read, around 12" tall. I think she'll be using that with the machine. Looking forward to doing all of my cable work on this, I'll get to do a lot of movements that just don't feel right on the BodySolid and not have to rearrange the IM2000 to set up for different exercises.
Thanks Mxchino. Yes if you don't mind taking measurements. Trying to find out how deep it is from the back that will sit against a flat wall to the front base. Also wondering how wide it as at the front base's widest point. Need to figure out What to move to make room."It is my own fault for replying in a smith thread." deadwoodgregg

You'll be happy with this. Buddy got it and it's rock solid. I'd have probably ordered one but took on another project/spend this holiday instead. Non-Gym related too!

When I put together my FT1 I used my fiance's help for 5 minutes when standing the 2 side pieces up and attaching them together. Everything else I did easily by myself. That first part would have been a challenge without her help, though if you have something you can put next to the side pieces for bracing so they don't tip over that would probably be ok. Just opening the box and taking everything out and verifying all the pieces were present took 60-90 minutes, lol.

It finally got delivered this morning. It was well packaged and the two Costco drivers were nice and very professional. Communication during the process was good. I started unboxing the big pieces around 9:30 and that took a good 30 minutes. I didn't even start on the weight stacks or the accessories until I needed them during the assembly. Got finished putting it together around 1, that included lunch, numerous coffee breaks and helping my wife fix an Outlook problem. It went together pretty easily. I've been watching installation videos of the product on youtube so I knew what to expect. My wife helped for about 10 minutes as I attached the two columns to the support pieces, could've probably done it myself but it's much much easier with two people. It's really the only time you need an extra person to put this together. As you can see in the nuts and bolts picture there really isn't too much to screw together.
My initial impression is that it's very sturdy and smooth, but I've heard that in other reviews. My biggest surprise was just how nice the included bench is. It has wheels and a handle on the front to move it. It's only 12" tall but it's pretty heavy and sturdy. It's a ladder style FI bench. It would work nicely for doing lying tricep extensions on since it's so close to the floor. I did some incline flies on it, I'm 245lbs and it felt sturdy, I'd have no fear of it failing on me. It's also collapsible which is nice for storage.
For RGrizzzz I included a picture of the rear support beam, it's arched a little but is only 19" long so that's how wide the base is.
The included accessories are pretty nice quality too. It also comes with a year subscription to the Inspire fitness app. I'm hoping my wife will use this as she doesn't like to listen to me when I tell her what to do, what the hell do I know? She'll be able to get in a great full body workout on this and it will bring a whole new dimension to my training. I'm looking forward to doing a lot of bilateral cable movements that I haven't done in 20 years. Thursday is back, so it will get used some, and Friday is Delts/Tris so it will get used a lot that day."It is my own fault for replying in a smith thread." deadwoodgregg

Nice addition and looks super compact too! Inspire makes great stuff and it's good to see a slightly more affordable version with this machine. I'm curious to know how both single straight arm pulldowns (each arm pressed down with the handles) feels and how the movement feels with the straight bar attached to both stacks.

I've only had two workouts with it, lats on Thursday, and Delts/Tris on Friday.
I used it as much as I could for lats. I did pulldowns with it, had to sit on the floor to get a full ROM, easily maxed the stack for a couple of sets of 15, I used the D handles and really like the stretch and the ability to twist my hands in at the contraction, it actually felt good. It didn't pull me up off the floor. I also did some one arm low cable rows. This felt really good and I couldn't max out the stack but the stretch and contraction were really good. I also did some two handed standing rope rows from the low pulley, I used to do these on a cable cross-over and like them for a "finishing" movement, felt good also. I did some straight arm pull-ins using the rope. I stepped back fairly far and crouched down to get a full stretch at the top, contraction felt good here also. I doubt I'll really ever do the pulldown on it again, that movement feels good on my IM2000. For delts I used it for one arm side laterals. I also did front raises with the rope from the low pulley. I did standing rear cable crossovers and loved that movement, nice to have an alternative to facepulls and dumbbell rear laterals. All movements felt good, and just having the pin in the second hole in the stack was plenty heavy for me for side laterals. I did rope pushdowns which I liked. The bench is really nice and sturdy, I did incline "pushdowns" with my EZ Curl attachment facing away from the machine. I haven't done those in years. Seated overhead rope extensions from the bottom pulley felt really nice.
I was kind of surprised how light some movements felt, like pulldowns, and how heavy some movements felt like side laterals. Monday is chest and biceps, I'm looking forward to doing incline cable flies and cable crossovers on it."It is my own fault for replying in a smith thread." deadwoodgregg

LOL. Congrats! You won't be disappointed. Other people's delivery times/estimates were spot on. I think mine getting delayed was the outlier. There are several decent unboxing and assembly videos on YouTube. I watched several of them and didn't run into any surprises. The only two person part was bolting the two columns to the support pieces. Could probably do it alone, especially if you rigged up some bracing device, but only needed the wife for about 5 minutes. Even the stickers for the weight stacks were nice, they're rubber, not just a thin plastic sticker. I'm still shocked at how nice the included bench is.
