idk why everyone keeps saying this, he was the best one last time and he will be the least biased this time. IDK what you guys are expecting them to have tucker carlson or hannity run the debates, Wallace is least leftist you are going to get. He atleast had a few hard questions for Biden but Trump kept talking over the entire time. Just wait until the next two, they will be all soft ball questions for biden the entire night.
If Trump wanted to try to rustle Biden to get him to snap, he should have saved that for one of the next debates and let Wallace get to his questions because the next moderators will be worse.

yeah my memory of previous debates, there was a lot more allowed of counter arguments... you know an actual "debate". Even watching the 2016 cycle, it seems to be more focused these days on having mini speeches on a given topic, and trying to discourage having the candidates talking to each other directly

So name any person on Earth who could have gotten Mr. RUN ON SENTENCE to stop talking in his tracks? I don't think there is anyone.
In most debates a person interrupts a few times and talks over the 2 min a few times. One debater did it just about every time because he needed to cross off every zinger on his debate prep checklist. There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

Yeah I thought that they should have each had the same question, given each 2 minutes to answer, then one gets a 30 second rebuttal and then the other and move on.
Instead Wallace asked a question to one. Allowed the other to answer, but it would turn right into them interrupting each other with no flow.
Hate to say it but the best way to end that would be to mute their microphones when it is the others turn to talk.

Yeah I didn't really think Wallace was that bad. There were a couple of times where Biden looked stumped or might have been at a loss for words but Trump kept yelling over him so he was able to dodge every question he wanted to because Trump let him. Trump essentially let Biden cherry pick which questions he wanted to answer. Quite frankly they should just give each candidate 2 minutes and then cut their mics until it's their time again.

Unfortunately, this is probably accurate.
The next debate is by a C-Span guy. Not familiar with who it is.
The last debate is going to be moderated by an NBC shill.
They should do debates with like Tucker Carlson and Rachael Maddow as the joint moderators. That way you have both sides with their biases out in the open.^^^()()GERMANIC CREW()()^^^

yeah wallace stopped the "open discussion" part every time and just skipped over to the next set of loaded questions. Can't be having Biden actually exposed to a 10 minute open debate with Trump over and over, wood be his tour over
Dude also straight up interrupted Trump during his 2 minute responses multiple times to debate/challenge him, often right after asking Trump to not interrupt biden lmao**MFC**

To be fair this debate is supposed to follow a certain format, and Wallace had to try to enforce this format. It was clearly Trump that had the biggest "problem" (calculated?) sticking to the format, so he got moderated the most.
I prefer Joe Rogan's format, but throwing him as a moderator into this debate format would probably be a waste.Former no-avi anonymous

Chris Wallace would ask Trump a question and then ask numerous follow ups questions to Trump with the intent of giving Biden an easy softball rebuttal....and then refused Trumps request to challenge him.
Example -
Chris Wallace asked Trump a question about his position on climate change and then challenges his record. This requires Trump to provide a specific defense with points. This puts Trump on the defensive and makes him fight out of the corner.
Chris Wallace then tees up Bidens climate change and gives a brief overview of all of the "benefits". He then simply questions Biden on the cost. This is a softball pitch that allows Biden to basically have 2 minutes to outline the benefits of his plan. Biden refuses to address costs. Chris Wallace questions him about the cost but he just states it will create jobs. Chris Wallace doesnt press him or ask numerous follow up "grilling" questions like he has been doing to Trump on virtually every question.
Chris Wallace then attempts to curtail any questions or follow ups from Trump
Its is clearly a set up to put Trump in a negative light and basically give Biden a two minute commercial with no challenge...

It's a weird spot to be in to tell the President to shut up essentially. It was a brutal debate and honestly they should have just muted their mics when it was the other candidates turn to speak. It got annoying when they kept interjecting on one another, Trump more than Biden. I think that the questions were pretty fair, and Chris didn't ask any egregious questions, he just asked for explanations for what both candidates said before or during the debate.
The next debate is a town hall format so that will be random questions asked by real undecided voters. I'm curious to see how that will go. I'm guessing Trump will get questions on his view of white supremacy and Biden will get questions on his cognitive ability.
The last debate is like the one we just saw, but it will be moderated by a black woman which will be only the second time in history that's ever happened.
Being a moderator of a presidential debate is considered to be one of the highest honors in journalism, so if you were asked you'd probably accept it in a heartbeat.*Mechanical Engineering Crew*

Cruz on Chris Wallace's performance as a "neutral" moderator:
“I think Wallace did an abysmal job,” he said. “I think he was whiny and petulant. I think he wanted to be the center of attention. I think he prevented them … now look, this is not an easy debate, this was not an easy debate to moderate. I will give him that. But he, it was much more about him than about the debaters. And I also think it’s no, it’s not complicated that Chris Wallace is voting for Joe Biden, that his politics are liberal.”
“And he, you know, the snide comments he made after several of Trump’s comments, I think, had no business coming from a debate moderator,” Wallace added. “And his repeatedly his questions were essentially an oppo research dump, that they were equivalent of asking Trump when did you stop beating your wife, and he didn’t do that on the other side. It was clear which side he was rooting for, and that’s a bad thing for a debate moderator.”
