I am not entirely opposed to buying a Nintendo console again. When my kids come over they have their own switch. But I’d maybe buy the right Nintendo console when Metroid prime drops but I heard it was canceled.

I am satisfied with just PS, and no xbox or nintendo. I can hardly finish all the games I want, I do not need another system. Only people with no job, women, or other hobbies got time to play all day everyday.

True in most cases I’m sure. There are also those who have made poor choices When it came to spending money on games. I’m sure many purchase things they regret. For those who’re not I am mirin’ because those people must be absolutely perfect lol.

Yeah, that is all I could find coupled with peoples rough estimations based on the size of a disk drive.

I will have enough horizontal shelf space for it laid down. If it's also 12" deep, I'll be boned though.

Which, to me $100 so you can actually buy physical games is worth it. A few trade ins that you couldnt otherwise do makes up the cost easy

The PS5 SSD is weird. It’s weird because the PS5 SSD has 825GB of storage rather than expected 1TB or 2TB. Why is this a thing though? Why have Sony elected to give the PS5 825GB of SSD storage? We let you know the answer to that query right here in our neat little guide.

As it turns out, there is in fact a very good reason why the PS5 SSD storage size is set at 825GB. Essentially, it boils down to the fact that the PS5 SSD isn’t just some peripheral storage solution that the PS5 occasionally talks to – it is instead thoroughly embedded into the silicon in a way that just hasn’t been done before. Cutting edge stuff indeed.




This means that the overall level of performance that the PS5 can kick out is much improved, as the PS5 SSD is effectively married to the PS5 CPU.

In practice, Sony has been able to marry up the PS5 SSD modules to the rest of the PS5 silicon via a 12 channel flash interface which enables the console to deliver a blisteringly fast 5.5GB/s of I/O performance. Essentially, this means that the PS5 can stream in new data practically seamlessly.

I don't believe Sony has certified any drives as compatible yet. I'll be looking to upgrade ASAP as well. Got a 2tb now and it would be hard to live with 800gb for too long.

Nah. But 2 of the most popular gaming shop- 1 doing a survey which PS5 version do people want- I guess so they know how many disc and digital versions they are getting, due to limited stocks by Sony I guess.

The other one sent an email that there are no release date/price here yet as of Sony Asia. Plus Sony Asia told them to hold back any info unless they are given the green light by them.

That said, both retailers said "very soon".

Oh and also got an email from PS Asia that pre orders will indeed be opening soon.
