What is going on in here today. I feel like I am back in high school.

We have them but they are usually pretty brief. Also since I am the only non-student, sometimes people won't show up (classes, projects etc). It is funny hearing how scared some of them are to miss the meeting anyway, particularly these Master's in Human-Computer Interaction students, who are usually loaded with work. That meeting is for the DARPA project I am on. We also have weekly lunches where a researcher has to give a 30 minute to an hour long presentation on work they are doing, or want to do. The lab manager will ask us sometimes what we want, and I joke about bringing in steak and lobster lol.

We also hold two meetings per week for these interns, five of which I am responsible for. Oh, and that DARPA project also has a phone meeting where we give status updates every two weeks. That one is only for the mobile group I am a part of. Oh and also there are these big meetings where all DARPA teams get together to present their work. Our next one is in Menlo Park in September.

You guys ever had people act funny around you or just not talk to you anymore because you walk around and act with confidence? That's what I do and I noticed certain people at the Young Adults group have been acting different around me. Kinda funny tbh because I can tell they think I'm arrogant but the reality is a lot of them are full of chit and that's one of the reasons I don't talk to everybody there. Plus the whole small talk, fluff talk bs gets boring after a while and is mentally draining just saying the same thing to different people over and over again. A lot of insecure people at that place but there still some cool people.

With the interns finishing in the next week or two, several of those are going to die down, but one of them is going to join this IoT project I am on so won't die down as much. We will also be bringing on new HCI Master's students probably in the next couple of months, so I will need to get them up to speed on everything. I was thinking about taking another course in the Fall (which means I need to decide soon) but man idk how much time I will have. I was looking at this applied data science course.. My formal title is Android Software Engineer, but I kind of feel like I am approaching project manager a bit here.

As far as when I get things done... I will just say I have free time lol... I am actually about to head over in a few minutes to do some testing on this super-enhanced privacy policy manager app I am writing. One of the teams I work with has a modified version of Android I installed to a phone, and have to make sure it works on that for a demo in the next big DARPA meeting.

I still go out, even though I only started about a 1.5 months ago. Never actively went out before.
Problem is finding good places to go to since unlike in Philadelphia, clubs are kinda underground over here in Melbourne. You won't even know anything is going on from looking at the place from the outside.
