I switched from MP Assault to Muscletech black onyx shatter non-stimulant
is that why I feel weaker? I just couldnt get as many reps in today as I could on monday. its the first time since I've started training 2 months ago that I've felt weaker than my last workout. I also increased my caloric intake and protein intake from 1800 to 2200 calories and from about 140g protein to 180g
i do recognize that being new, it could just be that im worn out but im pretty sure im getting enough rest, but it was a pretty drastic difference, and seemed pretty sudden and coincidental that its at the same time that i switched pre-workouts

gotchya. thats kind of what i was thinking. i didnt realize caffeine had that much affect on strength.
i guess ill have to decide whether i value my caffeine later in the day more or before my workout more. i definitely want to limit my caffeine intake. before switching i was thinking i would prefer my caffeine closer to doing more mathematically challenging work.

ended up picking up a seperate caffeine supplement at the grocery store called best energy by bpi sports with 25mg caffeine, 10mg niacin, 50mg taurine and 25mg L-citrulline per serving. hopefully this will be a good option cause i can have a little bit of caffeine with my pre-workout instead of the massive amounts of caffeine all these other preworkouts have. 2 or 3 servings of of this best energy stuff should be appropriate.
