Not sure if you remember but I attended the Trump rally that night.
The Trump rally had way bigger numbers of course. I mean, he’s the president. Beto still had a pretty good crowd and even his march was pretty Yuge.
Again, I’m not a Beto supporter. I’ve said it already, I’m probably voting red in 2020. I like my moneyEL PASO★STRONG

I don't live in Texas so you likely know better than I do I'm sure, but Cruz beat Trump pretty handily in Texas in the Republican primary and Trump doesn't poll all that well there. If Cruz only beat Beto by 3 points, Texas would likely be very competitive if it's Trump vs Beto. The DNC would pump an insane amount of money into his Texas run

Cruz beat Trump in Texas though, plus in this case it would be Beto's home state and he'd be facing off against a New Yorker. Combine that with Beto becoming the media/celebrity darling, the amount of money his campaign would raise and Texas' demographic situation and it could wind up being a real disaster

Lets be fair winning Texas for him even as an extremely popular candidate was a very long shot as a Dem.
Also don't think any 2020 POTUS or Dem nom polls have been done with him yet. Dem field is going to be a cluster fuk, IIRC there is going to be over 20 people up for the first Dem Primary Debate.*PUREBLOOD CREW*

So, Biden eventually gets in to the race. Beto show's well in early primaries. The Dem ticket becomes Biden/Beto. Enough white to placate older white voters, enough progressive to placate Dem base. Biden wins, announces he's only going to do 1 term and grooms Beto. Beto runs in 2024 and picks a more progressive minority as VP candidate (take pick) and wins for 8 years. Yeah, Trump should be somewhat concerned. Anyhow, it should be fun to watch.

I love Ted Cruz, but legit, Texas is one of about 3 states where he could ever possibly win a senate race. He doesn't pull punches and he's way too direct and way too conservative for most people. He doesn't care about giving people warm fuzzies. If Abbott was running against Beto for governor, he would have won by double digits.

Dem's had several things going for them with Beto, how they didn't win the entire state show's the ignorance of the voters and the DNC. Harris county went blue and all the elected officials with a D besides their name won. Why, straight party ticket. That option has been taken away now. The Dem's could of exploited that, possibly did and I don't have any links but it's just a feeling, and took the entire state. If he does make the ticket, does the DNC have enough money to target 1 state like that for a national election, probably not. The sad thing is the pool for people running is deep, in quantity only. It's going to put race's in effect and it'll be a battle to see who gets the most offended. It'll be the moderate Dem's who will decide, if they aren't put off by all the far left BS.
