Sure, I don't think it makes a big enough difference that we need sweeping national legalization to "battle" it though. Democrats teach black people that they're so disadvantaged by their skin color that they couldn't possibly make anything for themselves without sucking on the teet of mommy government.
More attractive people have an advantage
People with hair have an advantage
Tall people have an advantage
People from more wealthy families have an advantage
People with higher intellect via genetics have an advantage
People have advantages based on the country they are born in
People have advantages based on what part of a country they're born in
People have advantages based on what school system they go through
etc
etc
etc
There are thousands of advantages none of which in modern day USA are powerful enough to blame for your failures.*PUREBLOOD CREW*

Noone here (as far as I can see) has proposed legislation. That's not what this thread is about.
OP (along with many others ITT) doesn't believe that being white affords advantages (and non-whites have disadvantages) on the basis of race.
I agree with you that that there are other examples of privileges, that can influence the outcome of a person's life.
Why some white right wingers accept those privileges/advantages, but deny race based privileges/advantages, seems strange to me.

People think I am threatening walking around because I am big.
Or because of the Mohawk I had.
I had a guy accuse me of being a skinhead cause my head was shaved and I was wearing doc martens.
When I was working at a bar and told people I was going back to school they asked if it was for my GED when it was a masters.Boomer Rep Crew #1

Assuming the problem is with me, and not them?
Maybe they are chitty people?
You guys seem to assume that the problem is with us, and not with the people. That we must be crappy human beings.
If someone tells me explicitly that it's about my race, then it's my race.
I'm assuming you're trolling, because you're telling me that when someone prefaces a comment with my race, I can assume that it's not about my race. That makes zero sense. If You Don't Like To Talk About Your Feelings, This Might Help...

Here's the thing. I know that I'm not a racist. I'm not going to apologize for things that other people have done or are still doing. Nor will I feel guilty about being white. I didn't choose or have any control over these things.
The question's been asked already but what do you want done about "white privilege"? I'll acknowledge that on some level whites don't face the level of stereotyping and/or prejudice as other races. What else am I supposed to do? Frankly I have more important things (things I actually do have control over) that require my energy. And I believe that the people continuing to whine about all this crap are able to do it because they haven't got more important/pressing matters to deal with in life.

Ah here we go. A minute ago you're saying people just need to "get woke". Now you're saying once that happens we can "correct it". That implies government action. And this is exactly why you'll get the majority telling you to go stuff yourself when you want them to "just acknowledge it exists". *******.

Using *******y terms like "woke" is already enough to make people not take you seriously.
Also, when you have a very vocal group that loves to demonize whitey (males especially) for any and everything - then that is going to be counterproductive and cause many to tune out calls of "white privilege" and the all the other stuff from people who claim it but are more reasonable and may perhaps have some level of validity to what they are saying.

Noone here has suggested otherwise.
The question's been asked already but what do you want done about "white privilege"?
That may sound simple to you, but a lot of people genuinely do seem believe that 'everyone has equal opportunities' (normally Libertarian leaning types), it's nonsense. If You Don't Like To Talk About Your Feelings, This Might Help...

So you're saying the world isn't fair? It never has been. I can cry about all the people with (massive) advantages over me but I learned at some point along the way it does me absolutely no good. It won't change anything and will only breed resentment. We all have to play with the hand we were dealt in life.
At one time I had delusions of grandeur just like most 20 year olds. In time (with experience and seeing it first hand) I came to understand that there exists a closed world, a boys club. Some people call them the 1%. It's a world that is completely sealed off to outsiders. Sure if you work hard and get lucky, you too could become wealthy but the difference is that we'll always have to work for our money. Those people don't work for their money. We work for their money.
The sooner you can completely let go of the naive and fanciful notion of a just and fair world the sooner you can take the steps towards making the best out of the cards you were dealt and frankly the closer you've come to being able to call yourself an adult.

we agree with you dude, yes the world is unfair, one of the ways it's unfair to miniorities in the united states is white privilege. It's not fair to have more to deal with merely on the basis of the race lottery. that's all it is.
so why are so many people ITT unwilling to acknowledge this form of unfairness
