    Question Knee problems

I never got my knees diagnosed right but I think I had hyperextended my knees. Are there any machines at the gym I could use to strengthen my knees before I start doing squats?

Probably more of a technique thing, doing light controlled squats and careful not to lock-out. Especially if they naturally hyperextend.

I guess hack-squats would be worth a try though, they work the quads nearer the knee.

You should find out what is wrong with your knee before doing too much - hyperextending your knee isn't an injury in itself. Don't want to make it worse.
