I wrestled from 7th grade until sophomore yesr in college (Juco), purple belt and under couldn’t submit me when I started training Bjj srs, they couldn’t take me down , they couldn’t keep me down , my hip game , core strength was too much , granted I couldn’t pass their guard or submit them either lol but I smashed blue belts and under

So many people who have never trained Bjj ITT.
I come from a wrestling background and can tell you in no-GI grappling even the best wrestlers are getting toyed with by experienced Bjj practitioners.
Used to roll at AZ combat sports. In their off season, we’d get TONS of wrestlers from ASU coming in. It wasn’t hard to submit them whatsoever for most purple and even blue belts. Granted their learning curve was insanely sharp, but with little to no experience they were getting submitted regularly by average joes with less than 5 years of Bjj experience.
