Fedor's standup is probably atleast as good as anyone Chuck has faced. Fedor stood with Mirko, who is a far better striker than Chuck is. That's not to say Liddell coudn't catch him and KO him, but if Fedor has stood with Cro Cop for a long period of time and survived, it speaks volumes about how good he is at avoiding taking "the big one."

Yes but Mirko is also a much more accurate puncher than Liddell, and although he probably doesn't have as much one-punch KO power as Chuck does in his hands, his punches are much faster and more crisp. Honestly I think Chuck is more accurate than most give him credit for, but Mirko's boxing is on a whole different level. He could KO plenty of guys with his fists if he wanted, but his trademark is the high kick.

Yes, Fedor can keep liddell on the ground. If Fedor can keep the worlds top *heavyweights* on the ground, what would possibly stop him from keeping Chuck Liddell on the ground?

Like BPP said, Fedor will stand as long as it takes to get him to the ground, I imagine with Fedor's takedowns it wouldn't take too long.

If you can make a comment like "Chuck will catch him eventually" then I can safely make a comment of "Fedor WILL take him down"

Fedor will win this fight, with absolute ease. Basic logic. Fedor has shut down the worlds best heavyweights time and time again, including a striker who is much, MUCH better than Liddell. Chuck would lose. Weren't people expecting Wandy to take out Chuck? Or at least put up one hell of a fight? The same Wandy that got horribly beat by Cro Cop? Who in turn got beat by Fedor? I know this "he beat him" stuff doesn't apply well as it's different fighting styles, but it's kinda hard not to do that given the proven calibur of each fighter. I see Fedor winning by GnP or a very, very easy decision.

ahhh mirko's punches are something to be feared, he has devastating power... just because his kicks are almost fatal doesn't mean he can't punch.

You are clearly out of your element and have no clue about the argument at hand. Randy, Tito, and Babalu are maybe above average by MMA standards, but to compare them to Mirko is just stupid. Those guys use their standup for mostly defensive purposes and to avoid not getting KO'ed and to get a fight to the ground ASAP, whereas Mirko uses his standup to knock sons-of-bitches out. Rampage's standup is decent, but still far from as good as Cro Cop's.

Also, I have no clue why you mentioned MMAth, because I never even brought it up, I was just comparing styles. Way to mention the obvious in the second half of your second paragraph, BTW. I had no idea that styles make fights!

The way I see it Chuck has gained status as one of the best fighters (hence the belt). I'm not saying he's the best, but you have to realize that most people that are considered better than him are in a higher weight class. Fedor, Crocop, Arlovski, and Sylvia(yes I said it!) are all heavyweights.

My two fav. fighters!!! I wouldnt want to see them fight. I wouldnt know who to root for. I do think that Fedor would clean house. Chuck would put up one hell of a fight but Fedor to win. I dont not think there really are many in the UFC that can beat Fedor!!!
