not that i've seen anyway. strong as fuk but I don't see him ever locking out in training fully, then it happens at meets and passes somehow. I'm sure it'd be nothing at all for him to fix. I think a lot of people get too excited and want to pull their next rep instead of fully completing the one they're on already.

He tends to bench more in training than in meets, but if hes going to add 8 lbs of body mass in 3 weeks that might change things.
He has made several claims about wanting to hold records in 3 weight classes at the same time. He also won't be in the running for any cash prizes if he doesn't make 308 due to USopen rules. I think he hits more in training because he always has 97 meters of compression on his elbows helping out. But last prep hit hit like 635 with cuff, all purpose wraps and sleeves on then hit like 606 in the meet. But this prep he hit 628 naked elbows, so that's promising as hell. Why can't he win money unless he's 308?

So, thats definitely part of it. But hes usually conservative with bench attempts. Which makes sense, because his bench is such a large part of his total. If he misses a bench, hes missing a lot of pounds on his total.
Per the rules of the USopen, if you don't make weight, up or down, you aren't eligible for prize money. Gina Aversa had a check taken away from her last year because of that. And he is registered as 308, according to http://kernusopen.com/roster/Last edited by Rags85; 04-24-2018 at 09:46 AM.

So he just needs to get to 276 in a few weeks.
After smashing huge numbers, going into a meet and gaining mass in the meantime, is a very very good sign.
