I was wondering where Toffoli and Pearson had gone all series long... damn were they hyped to keep the Kings competitive for years when they first broke out. And Kopitar's deployment sounds like how Willie Desjardins used the Sedins before he got fired, just overplayed the **** out of them without regard for whether their deployment was optimal in the game or detrimental in the long run.

pearson was a monster screening the goalie during the 2nd half but he has to score goals too. toffoli hasn't done a fukin thing. 1 goal in january, 3 in february, 3 in march. 1 goal in the last 15 games of the season. completely unacceptable for a guy who's touted as a sniper. personally i think he's in absolutely awful shape and has about 10-15lbs to lose which is fukin stupid when he's on a line with one of the best conditioned athletes in the NHL in jeff carter.

kopitar just got abused down the stretch and couldn't keep it up. that's all on stevens. i like being a solid defensive team but if you're getting swept out of the 1st round because you can't score a single damn goal, you've swung way too far to the defense end

lombardi definitely crippled the team in these few years with the rentals, bad luck between richards and voynov too. could have a really stacked lineup and impact guys coming up from the AHL but nah, a year of lucic and lecavalier's corpses, sekera and 2 games of bishop
