Veronica - 7.5/10 - Really well paced movie. It doesn't take long at all to get into the movie and once it does there's really no filler, but there's one or two things that I wish they had expanded on in regards to characters and plot. It's really not violent at all and definitely plays more on the psychological and supernatural aspects, which was nice. It's well acted, well directed, and has decent effects. There are some definite cliches and the movie is fairly formulaic but I expect that with just about every movie like this. It's also based on a "true" story. Anyway, I recommend it. It's definitely better than a lot of stuff you'll find on Netflix.

I'm a sucka for spanish movies so it ranked pretty high for me, specially since they don't go the usual hollywood screamers and violence way.


Heard good things about Annihilation, seems more like a Sci-fi Thriller, should be on Netflix tomorrow except in the US and China I think, will watch.

If you like spanish movies there is this one I watched a while back named Atrocious, it was really good, can't seem to find it anymore, but do recommend.

The pool scene at the end was intense. Scariest movie of the 2000s I think

Yes! I really enjoyed that movie. It was more of a slasher/thriller than horror. Another movie similar to that is The Den, which is also pretty good.

Yeah this one is awesome, saw it a few times asswel.

Just watched p2, pretty good movie, boobs were distracting tho 10/10 don't mind.
Also watched annihilation with natalie portman, for some reason it was under horror on netflix but it's not horror at all.

Watched the Strangers movie. Not even close to the first (which was basically a masterpiece IMO), but still a fun flick. Lots of jumps and tension, but again, nowhere near as good as the first. If you have moviepass, go see it in theaters. Otherwise, I guess wait for dvd.

biggest issue I had, was how did that ******* know so much about "it" and will happen. Just doesn't make sense. Also the easiest way to get out of this, go to another country, go to a swingers club/orgy, then all good. That ghost slut is gonna get passed around so hard, plus will have to swim across the trans atlantic before getting to me lulz. Also we gonna act like the main sloot didn't get gang banged on that boat. lol sloots I swear

If you want a brainlessly fun movie, watch Psychopaths. There's no real story so it's basically just a collection of scenes, but I enjoyed it for what it was

Annihilation - pretentious and many times just plain dumb. A couple of good scenes. Reminded me of the book Roadside Picnic, but expected so much more. I guess this is what passes as a good movie now.
Also, nice to see Netflix taking its feminist madness a step further and, besides the usual propaganda, casting no white male in a speaking role.

It seems like the people involved actually believe what was going on and if the things these people physically experience is true then it's pretty crazy. It's just always hard to tell what is real and what's embellished based on personal accounts. But it got more and more interesting as it went on and I'd recommend it for people who are a fan of ghost stories and the like.

Veronica - I liked it; gave me an eerie feeling at the end

The Ritual - I liked this better than Veronica because I thought there were some original elements as well as a cool bro theme

1922 - Not really scary which Stephen King isn't always like "It"; good movie still

The Wailing - a Korean movie, which I like but confused af about certain things that probably have to do with cultural differences and understanding about paganism and shamans. Going to watch it again after I read other people's POV on the plot.

People think that lack of explanation and ambiguous endings are "artistic" or genius, but really they are usually just lazy storytelling and mediocrity cloaked in an aura of pretentiousness.

I re-watched the Invasion of the Body Snatchers from 1978. I now remember why that movie scared the sht out of me as a kid. Holds up well for being 40 years old. I recommend watching it if you can dig the grainy 70's look

If you've never heard of it then I also highly recommend All Hallow's Eve made by the same guy and featuring the same clown killer (it's an anthology and FAR better than its IMDB rating).

I thought The Wailing was a bit overrated, great acting and cinematography but It was unnecessary long and moved pretty slow, I found the plot kinda B quality and simplistic, almost low budget TV show level.
