ok. im tired of not gaining.
ive been through 2 tubs of cytogainer, and its just not working very well for me. in 2 tubs ive gained about 2 lbs.
i DO have a good lifting routine, and i know thats not it. however i dont eat as much as i should some days to gain, just cuz im in college and its hard to go to my schools ****ty cafeteria 4 or 5 times a day.
i want a gainer that is going to ADD WEIGHT FAST. i dont care if it adds fat as well.. i have like 5 percent body fat, so i need it anyway. im just tired of being small. i started lifting seriously about 6 months ago, and people always tell me they can definitely tell a difference, but im still tired of being light.
so. whats a god damn gainer thats gonna pack on weight if i dont care about fat content or any of that other stuff. i need the calories and i need the protein. and a lot of it.

Food is the best. I guarantee you most people aren't trying hard enough to eat calorically dense foods.
Seriously though...wholeish food weight gainers are the way to go...
2 scoops of whey - 200 - 240
12 oz of milk - 135 - 195
1 cup of oats - 300
2 tbsp of pb - 200
That'll get you for 835 - 1000kcal and over 75g of protein...

Well you're right about one thing but wrong about another, the guy who posted above sounds like he's relying on the gainers, wrong thing to do, you also need to eat food, but you're wrong when saying gainers are crap...
Don't even bother trying to convince the troll gainers are good, we always have the occasional "weight gainers are bad eat food" troll come around...
Nothing wrong with what your saying, homemade gainers are good, but nothing wrong with a real gainer neither, I take muscle juice and it's great, and one important thing is the convience factor, I don't need to dig up 3-5 things, blend them ,etc...
BTW, I think you may want to modify your gainer, 75 grams of protein in one shot isn't the greatest idea...keep it around 50-60 grams, no more

Can anyone find me one store bought weight gainer with a quality protein blend and no maltodextrin?
With homemade gainers you can adjust the macros however you want...can't do that with storebought. Yeah they're SLIGHTLY more convenient, but how hard is it to go BAM whey, BAM oats, BAM milk in a blender and done?
Also, most gainers are pure sugar, or pure HIGH gi carbs...and almost certainly too many. 85-100g of carbs in between meals?

Im not relying on gainers.. i know how important food is and i try to eat whatevers in my schools cafeteria that has the most protein, complex carbs and overall calories.
BUT i still want a gainer thats gonna add. Blue blazer.. you say youre on muscle juice? i'm thinking about trying it next... just not too sure about the high sugar content, but its not really a big concern for me right now.
has it been working well for you..?

i used the vitamin shop brand called "body tech x mass" back in februrary and in about 3 weeks i had packed on about 14 lbs of nice lean mass. I had a shake every night with bannanas and natural pb around midnight after i had spent the day eating everything i could. I think its agreat deal, you get a 7.5lb tub for $30 which is 20 servings they say. just my opinion take it or leave it.

Dude no need to worry about sugars, cholesterol or anything at your size haha, you want to get big?
Take muscle juice and eat like a f*cking greak, pretend as if you weren't even taking the muscle juice in a way haha
Dude, eat burgers, chicken, tuna, bread lots and lots, pasta, peanut butter, milk, cheese, just f*cking overload yourself with food and on top of that take a gainer like muscle juice
Muscle Juice works great and delivers results, no bullsh!t, it looks like the worst gainer on the market, but it works so well it's unbelievable, I've gained little to no fat while taking it

For starters, when bulking eating squeaky clean doesn't deliver the greatest results...example: if a guy is only eating egg whites, chicken, tuna and oatmeal on his bulk, well I feel bad for him, because he's not going to gain
You've got to eat lots of ground beef, steaks, chicken, tuna, bread lots and lots of bread, pasta, oatmeal, peanut butter, potatoes, protein shakes, canola or any kind of oil to get in extra fats
I agree with you 100 percent of the homemade gainer thing, because I do it myself everyday, I have one homemade gainer shake everyday, but it is my pwo shake, but on non lifting days I add pb for fats
250ml of oats
2 scoops of whey
2-3tbs of pb on non lifting days
"85-100g of carbs in between meals"
When you said this it really made me laugh, you contradicted yourself in a way
You said to add a cup of oats (also said it gives you 300cals, gives me 450)
A cup of oats for me gives 81 grams of carbs..and you said gainers give you too much carbs?
Tell me what is wrong with getting 80 grams of carbs in one shot...seems to be fine
Anyway dude, I don't appreciate when guys run their mouths about gainers being no good and that eating food is better, blah blah, it is trollish to the max
Muscle Juice for the f*ckin' win!

Complex carbs are not "less anabolic" then high gi carbs. Can you prove that high gi carbs and sugar are more anabolic? Someone's not going to gain on egg whites/oats/chicken breasts...are you serious?
Come on man, don't make claims like this. Sugar is not more anabolic than anything, and just cramming your face with garbage is not the best way to gain. You are 16 and can eat more without worrying about fat gain (apparently)...others are not so lucky.
A cup of oats gives you 81g of carbs? Where do you get your oats from man? It's more like 54g man...you get quaker?
How did I contradict myself? You're telling people to use weight gainers in addition to/in between meals as do most weight gainer instructions.
Don't you dare call me a ****ing troll.

Ok let's pick your idiotic post apart piece by piece lol
"Complex carbs are not "less anabolic" then high gi carbs. Can you prove that high gi carbs and sugar are more anabolic? "
I didn't say this anywhere in my post, and in case this isn't enough, no I don't think sugars and high gi carbs are more anabolic, and once more, I DID NOT SAY THAT ANYWHERE IN MY LAST POST!
"Someone's not going to gain on egg whites/oats/chicken breasts...are you serious?"
I still stand by this, when bulking, eating egg yolks along with whites, eating lots of ground beef and steaks along with chicken, bread, pasta, etc
All of this will make you gain..btw I am not hating on chicken, whites and oats, these are things I eat about everyday...
"Come on man, don't make claims like this. Sugar is not more anabolic than anything"
Once again I did not say this, where the f*ck did I say this for you to repeat it twice...
"and just cramming your face with garbage is not the best way to gain.
For the record Zdub and everyone else reading, I don't cram my face with garbage, unless in Zdub's book, garbage = ground beef, whole eggs, natty pb, oats, ww bread, whole grain pasta, tuna, cod fish, salmon, lobster, crab (basically anything from the sea lol, because I live on the East side of Canada and my small town has plenty of it, good quality too)
"You are 16 and can eat more without worrying about fat gain (apparently)...others are not so lucky."
Well Zdub, what you said there is somewhat true, I have been an ecto all my life and have a fairly high metabolism and still do some cardio exercises during the week (martial arts 2x per week, in other words 2-4 hours)
"A cup of oats gives you 81g of carbs? Where do you get your oats from man? It's more like 54g man...you get quaker?"
http://www.robinhood.ca/product.deta...=88&prodcid=10
Prepare to be amazed...steel cut oats I believe, though it isn't written anywhere on the bag, but last night I googled quaker's steel cut oats and they had the same nutritional facts as the robin hood ones I just posted...So I am assuming the Robin hood oats are steel cut.
"How did I contradict myself? You're telling people to use weight gainers in addition to/in between meals as do most weight gainer instructions."
I assumed your oats were the same as mine so I thought you had about 81+ grams of carbs in your homemade gainer shakes, but now I know you have the regular oats, I recommend you make the switch and get steel cut, especially if you're bulking...
"Don't you dare call me a ****ing troll"
Anyone who comes in the gainer section implying that we are all morons wasting our money on such products and are better off just eating real food, etc is trollish in my book
Do you go in the protein bar section and tell them all the bars s*ck and to make their own?
Do you go in the Meal Replacement thread and tell them to make their own meal replacement shakes?
Do you go in the creatine thread and tell them to just eat alot of red meat?
If so, you are an incompetent f*ck
Gainers ftw!Last edited by Blue Blazer; 04-14-2008 at 10:25 AM.

Let's pick apart your ****ing dumbass post shall we?
For starters, when bulking eating squeaky clean doesn't deliver the greatest results...example: if a guy is only eating egg whites, chicken, tuna and oatmeal on his bulk, well I feel bad for him, because he's not going to gain
RIGHT HERE YOU JUST SAID YOU'RE >>NOT<< GOING TO GAIN ON LEAN PROTEINS AND COMPLEX CARBS. HE'S NOT GOING TO GAIN>>>YOUR WORDS.
When you said this it really made me laugh, you contradicted yourself in a way
You said to add a cup of oats (also said it gives you 300cals, gives me 450)
A cup of oats for me gives 81 grams of carbs..and you said gainers give you too much carbs?
You didn't ****ing specify steel cut oats or not...k? Thanks.
Anyway dude, I don't appreciate when guys run their mouths about gainers being no good and that eating food is better, blah blah, it is trollish to the max
Muscle Juice for the f*ckin' win!
You're telling people to drink muscle juice which is full of sugar...you're saying that you'll gain by using that, you ARE claiming sugar to be good for your bulk.
The only incompetent person here is you. Thank you.

Thank you for replying in such a mature fashion lolI'll say it once more, to see some good results, eating proteins that aren't lean will do some good, ground beef, steaks, whole eggs, all great bulking foods, gains will be better...even idiots like you can agree on this lol
As far as muscle juice goes, what can I say? Muscle Juice delivers...you can ask just about anyone who's taken it and had a solid diet, they will tell you it works great...It has worked great for me, imo I find it strange that muscle juice works well...because it does look like the crappiest gainer ever...
Who can't agree with that? It really does look like a terrible gainer, but I can't say it is terrible because I have had excellent results with it...
And I know others who have had great gainers with it (member History In Effect) As far as the oats go, like I said I didn't know if they were steel cut or not, because it wasn't indicated on the bag, my apologies douchebagLast edited by Blue Blazer; 04-14-2008 at 11:30 AM.
