Lol at this point, I consider the ethers I bought as gone already. Evenif I bought them for $180 each. Because I only spent something that I'll be ok to lose.
I'm also holding some ANS that I bought when it was about $4.
I'm holding all of them. When I bought them, I told myself I'll reevaluate after a year or so and see.
I have some ETH from mining though so its not too bad as long as its still profitable to mine.
I still believe in both of them in the future.Steam - jinda28

Yeah I ended up not doing it. Esp seeing that 'highoncoins' guy saying 'YOU NEED TO GET A MASTERNODE RIGHT NOW'
^^^Yeah same, saw there was like 90k sell orders and only 900ish buy orders.
Anyway, can someone explain bitfinex margin funding to me? For IOTA the 'bid' side is absolutly empty/bought up, and a lot of offers still. What does this mean? I got iota when it came out, and at a loss right now, but wondering if it's going to absolutely crash or not. Also mainly wanting to conceptilze what exactly a lot (or none) bids vs offers mean for the margin lending.

Orderbooks can and are manipulated to give the illusion of strong buy\sell pressure. They can be good indicators, but they can be manipulated as well to an extent.
Crypto is in profit taking mode right now. I'm just waiting to see if it hits capitulation before buying. Otherwise I'll remain on the sidelines.

bought some ETH at 192, placed limit sell order at 215 im hoping theres a peak soon followed by another crash so i can buy more. Bots for microtrading seems interesting, I could write some code for this but I'm not too sure what a good strategy would be.
Never made such a bot before, looking into API and how to pull info from this right now. This **** is fairly interesting boyos maybe I could come up with a bot that makes a moderate profit passively.Last edited by curtainbrah; 07-13-2017 at 04:46 PM.

I looked at chaincoin it seemed shady af and that guys youtube is also shady. But I guess it would have been ok if we had gotten in on it in the initial stages (when it was around ~0.5$) just to get in on the pump and dump it when it was like 5$.
But **** like this just takes away from the legitimacy of crypto if u ask me because all of these chitcoins are essentially garbage and to an outsider it will make the whole scene look scammy.

Trying my luck at trading for the first time. Have 29 ANS I bought with leftovers in Bittrex to try and turn into as much as I can.
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

Let me ask you guys a srs question:
What % of the population do you think is actually invested in cryptocurrency at this moment, July 2017? .01%, .1%, 1% etc? I sometimes think we insulate ourselves in this 'crypto community' and think that this chit is blowing up because we interact with like-minded people on a daily basis. Are the normies even close to entering the markets, or is that 5-10 years away?
I assume the vast majority of crypto investors are people in their 20s and 30s while 99% of individuals in their 40s/50s/60s maybe have 'heard' of bitcoin but that's the extend of it
Comparatively, ~50% of Americans own some sort of stockLast edited by TheDude88; 07-13-2017 at 07:44 PM.

Not sure of the % but I don't imagine there's a huge amount in it. I haven't met a single person IRL who knew what crypto even was. I'd venture to guess that most "normies" wouldn't get into it until it starts becoming an accepted currency at major retail companies. Just my guess.
