They put a lot of new products on the site today. Clone of the Rogue Hr-2 and Sml-2. I was browsing ebay and looks like they have a monolift not listed on their site yet. Seems to be be a bolt on. Type this # in ebay search: 132177711276

I'd want to see some real reviews of the Titan monolift attachments before passing judgement, but the bolt-on Rogue monolift attachment really doesn't really take that much time and effort to adjust up and down. I am a little surprised that Titan didn't just jump right to an adjustable model, but maybe that will be following this one.

Depending on poundage that you plan to handle you may want to be careful with some of the economy options for things like monolift hooks. If one of those failed someone could get seriously injured (I know a lifter who lost an eye due to a bar falling on him while benching due to a J-hook failing). I would say that anything <500 lbs you're probably safe with the lighter duty models assuming that it says it is rated for that - but once you get above that or start adding in a lot of bands/chains it might be better to spend the extra money for peace of mind.

I totally agree with this stance. I have purchased multiple items from Titan and so far have been happy with each purchase, but some things, and I'll add the Monohook to this category as well, I will gladly pay the upcharge for piece of mind. It doesn't mean that Titan can't pull it off and make a great working product, it's just the comfort level isn't there for me, not yet at least.

Looking at the working parts of the mono's, if you're uncomfortable, spend a few dollars on good (USA made?) hardware (bolts) at the pivot and mounting points. Those seem to be the most likely failure points, IF there are any. I don't have the specs on the thickness of the mount or arms, but they look pretty substantial (ie: similar to others) and are 'rated' at 1,000#. I've had a set of mono's on my radar for a while, but would likely want an adjustable or modify these to adjustable over bolt on.

I read on Titan's website that the steel used for the hooks is 3/4 thickness with uhmw pads. They look simple enough to be workable however for those of us with short racks its probably a non issue as they claim to be 24 inches tall and my hooks for squats are set 15 inches below the top crossmember of my rack.
I'm not sure where you might go to get good made in USA hardware these days as our local hardware store probably floats in their supply of hardware from the same suppliers titan uses.

Wow, they really are slamming out new stuff at an incredible rate. I'd be excited if their QC was a little more on point. Given time, I'm sure it'll all be fine, I would just hate to be involved in their first runs of anything "complicated". See the GHD... great price, solid, but still rough around the edges. I'm confident they WILL work it out though.
As for the monolift, if I ever get strong enough to need one, I'd spend the extra bucks elsewhere if I had to get one right this minute. It LOOKS like almost a straight rogue rip (too bad they didn't rip Mech instead lol) but I'd want to see it up close first. It MIGHT be just fine, but if I was squatting say 800 lbs I might not be very confident as of yet. (I'm nowhere close but hey I can dream). I'd agree in this case it would most likely be the hardware and attach points that could be a problem, not the steel itself. It also remains to be seen if the thing actually moves freely... we need a guinea pig.
However their landmines look like a steal....

The Internet or a specialty fastener store like Fastenal, if you have one local to you. I'd probably just pick up grade 5 bolts from the local hardware/big box store, though. I don't think I've ever looked at country of manufacturer when I've picked up bolts, so not even sure what the local stores have.

I admit to buying a landmine and a crossmember for the top om my t3 rack to hang rings and stuff from. The landmine attaches only to the front of your rack so I had to build a bracket to make it mount facing sideways from my rack and I just bolted that to my platform. Its ugly as hell and the welds are high school shop class quality but it will get the job done for $27 and about 5 minutes of my time and a visit to my scrap pile.
personally I think that the bolts that come with titan products are plenty strong enough for anything that I'll be able to lift.

This seems to be their business model, at least based on anything I've ever needed that I can't find at the hardware/big box/farm supply stores.
a 1/4" grade 2 bolt is more than sufficient to hang these off of. Fastener strength is ridiculous.
Have any pictures of the landmine? For that price I was thinking about one.

Thibking about this monolift. Using a discount coupon its $135. Delivered, a little less then half the rogue. Im not a huge squats / bencher anyway amd i dont do any single rep lifts, squatting a 405 double is likely the biggest weight im capable of, and thats a good day.
My issue is where to use them and either making it adjustable or easier to move. Im thinking one option is front of rack with spotter arms just for squatting, but i really would like to try benching with it aiso. Thats not happening ever if i need wrenches.
I might be inclined to move between lifts if i figure an easier faster set up. Maybe i could tack the top bolt in to hold it on place, then weld "2" wings" on the bolt with 1/2" round bar, that way i could hand tighten the bolt and get it very secure. Tacking the top bolt in place just allows one handed operation because the bolt wont fall out, it would have no impact on strength. Then ideally i would use a hitch pin for the lower hole. Im not an exoert here, but wouldnt the top bolt be where the majority of the load goes? Pin in the bottom safe?
This would literally take an hour or so, and make it possible to move it easily enough to use on two lifts... thoughts?

Since this is the equipment forum and not the practical diy forum I'm gonna solve your problem battery powered impact wrench. The more expensive the better of course. Also if you workout early in the morning as I do your family may have to start sleeping with ear plugs to block out the impacts sound but thats a very small price to pay for your lifting convenience.
Chadsalt has an excellent point just wait for the swing in model. Since he convinced me that I need a monolift even though I may be too tall I'm also waiting. Since its Titan they will both swing in from the same side if that bothers your ocd maybe you don't have to wait.

At $135 I would be buying two, one for squat and the other set at incline bench. Then I would setup regular j-hooks under the squat hooks for flat bench and you would never have to really move anything ever again. Will be interesting to see if any reviews pop up on here, these seem difficult to foul up but obviously we have seen issues before. Hopefully they mailed Rogue's hooks to China with a note "Please COPY exactly, no TitanIC steel this time".

So I installed the monkey pull up bar. I really like it. I haven't used any other so my opinion isn't a direct comparison, but all the grip options seem really good. the grip thickness is 1.25" on the entire thing, so there isn't a thicker fat grip part, that doesn't bother me though, I like the 1.25" standard thickness. The angles grip is perfect width for me and the wide grip portion that angles down on the ends feels great also. Up until now i just had a standard straight pull up bar on the rack. I installed it on the middle of the 36" deep section... I may move that to the front and move the fat / standard Rogue one to another spot, jst because I think I like the look of the monkey bar at the front. I did need to make two 1/2" spacers for the bar to shim it to the proper width of the Rogue rack. I also had to drill out slightly the two end holes in the rack side braces to mount it. the holes themselves were the right thickness for the bolts, but the holes were of a mm or so and so a quick uni bit step or two and it all went together well enough. I didn't have patience to paint the spacers, so I used electrical tape around the edges before mounting the aeembly, can't notice it at all. Took about an hour to ban them up and still them out. Small price to pay to get a $200 plus pull up bar for $55.!!!!!

I love how you think! They look pretty damn good. Im with you exept my preference would be set up one pair on front side of rear uprights for flat bench, one on rear of front uprights for squats. Hopefully between the remaining space iwould still be able to set up j cups for incline and military presses ect on the remaing space.i would have to see how it all lays out. If I could still get j cups to work fir all my other exercises,i use safety spotter arms on the front of the rack also, so hopefully theres enough options to make everything work. If not then the flip diwn versions would be the only answer. It would be great to not have to move them at all and just use j cups occationally. Actua
Ly since i have 3 pairs of j cups could maybe get away never having to move anything!
The monos look to be pretty darn close to the rogue ones and ill bet there pretty good.

My buddy bought some and has no complaints. He only plans to bench with them, so the bolt on was fine for him. He is very pleased, but it's only been a week.. He sent me a few pics and a video. They look a tad rough, but seem perfectly functional. $135 shipped is just ridiculous. That being said, if you plan on moving them, I would wait for the adjustable version. Nobody wants to deal with bolting and unbolting these things.

Very glad to hear that someone has gotten them and they seem decent. They only need to mate up the mounting set up from therw safety spotter arms, wich are excellent, and these are prime time. Its just a tab and pin additional, even at $160-$180 for the drop ins, there worth trying for me. I have the magic touch with Titan, everything i order has been excellent, undamaged, and exceeds my expectations so far.
After thinking about Urbans plan of using two, i am not sure that option wirks for me. then looking at them again
If i mount one for flat bench and one for squat on each upright i wont have enough utility to set up for the other lifts i use the rack for. They stick out farther from the upright when not loaded with the bar, so you cant use that side of upright for almost anything else. the bolt on mount takes about 18" of upright height so even using the oposite side your pretty limited for j hook and safety spotter set up. It may be workable, but not without a lot of awkward workarounds.... unless i get another weight storage add on and go 8 post! Now were talking!
Edit:
I have officially been disappointed with a Titan oroduct i purchased and rate a "do not buy"
I tried out the fatgrips, $14. And do not like them at all! I havent used the real ones, or anything but these, so my gripes may be inherent to the style. The issue is that when placing them on even a 28 mm bar the seam is "open” about 1/2" and this effects grip somewhat. Its usable, but very annoying. I havent tried themonanything thicker like 1.25" specialty bars and cable attachments, but imagine it would make it worse. There cheap, ajd function, but def not a "must have"!
