Met a few hbbs with romanian immigrant parents and every time I got to know them they turned out to be legit psychopaths. All religious and fairly prude but would lie, cheat, and steal constantly with no remorse. They would even go so far as to lie about their sexual exploits to guys to appear more promiscuous than they actually were. I remember going on a family holiday to Bulgaria when I was about 13 or 14 and even then I knew there was something special there. But then again, all I had seen up until then were English girls. I was warned that eastern europeans are racist, and I have faced problems in that regard with young males in groups, when alone in the evening.

However, the few I have worked with are friendly once you build rapport after a few quick convos - though they can be 'stand offish' initially. IMO the language barrier seem to foster an 'us vs them' mentality.
