Indian pitches are a disgrace, 1 1/2 days and it's rolling along the ground.
Going to be tough batting in the next few days.
If the Pune pitch was rated 'poor' this one should get that also.

Was dumb selection but picking Maxwell for a test series in India would of been dumber.
There is definitely a couple of better choices than Marsh. If you can afford to give him the experience its worth it but you wouldn't of thought going into the series that Australia had that luxury.

yes to an extent but the ball they use in england is a duke which swings more than a kookaburra but that is still less cheating say manipulation of conditions than making it a dust bowl from ball 1

I'd say most countries prepare their pitches to suit themselves more, but India just takes the piss with their pitches.

No way Maxwell deserves a game ahead of Khawaja. Khawaja should never have been dropped in the first place.

As for Maxwells bowling, he hasn't even been used as a bowler in some of the most recent ODI's so can't see him bowling in a test. If we want a third spin option Smith would be fine, we just haven't needed him yet.

MMarsh a little stiff, the ball kept incredibly low.

Aus need to drop Marsh for Khawaja for the third test. Marsh has only bowled 5 overs in the series so far. He's basically playing as a batter only.

He's only not bowled because indian bats have been retarded, Khawaja should be playing but without a 5th bowler we're a bit unbalanced

It's ok in my view. In turning conditions the spinners bowl the bulk of the overs. 2 spinners, 2 seamers and part time options is a better option in my opinion than having Mitchell Marsh in over Khawaja.
