How many Bruins games have you watched in the last 3 years?
"I could very well be totally wrong about it"
You are.
People say hockey is a difficult sport to predict and in some ways it is, but I've been almost 100% right about literally everything about the Bruins for about 5 years running now. I know this team inside and out, top to bottom.
There is negative infinity chance this team can make a run at the Eastern Conference title. I literally laughed out loud typing that, at just the notion. Dude they literally don't have a single good defenseman. Not one. Z E R O. Every defenseman on the team is completely inept in their own end. They have literally one line and an overrated goalie. They don't have any secondary scoring. How can you just blindly look at statistics and conclude that this team has even a shot at an Eastern Conference title? It's unreal.
When I say the team is horrendous, people look at the standings and think "They're not a bottom 5 team in the standings, how are they horrendous?" Because they are. Being in the position they are right now, is even worse than being in the actual bottom of the standings. The Bruins are middling, they are treading water, they have no direction, no identity, and no shot to do anything in the playoffs if they were to even get there, which they won't.
Do you acknowledge that regular season hockey is a completely different game than playoff hockey? The past 3 years, you know why the Bruins give up so many 3rd period leads? Because when teams really turn it on and play that balls to the wall, all out style in the back half of the third period when they're down a goal (which is how teams play every playoff game, all game), the Bruins can't compete. They get completely outclassed. I just hope they sell at the deadline, but I doubt they're smart enough to do that. If the Bruins got Kazaam to grant them one wish, and they wished to go to the playoffs, they would get swept in the first round.
I could go on and on and on and on but I've made my point in this thread a hundred times. People laughed at me last year when I said all year that they should be sellers, they laughed at me at the deadline, they've been laughing at me and my posts forever, but in the end, I'm always right. Ball don't lie. Puck don't lie. The Bruins are trash and are going nowhere. Book it. I'll see you in April. Right now I have (another) Super Bowl to go win.
EDIT: I just saw a thread on the Bruins HFBoard, it's a poll asking what the Bruins should do at the deadline. These are the results:
Buyers: 2
Sellers: 108
Do Nothing: 6
I'm glad people are starting to see it my way, but knowing what a reactionary, fraudulent group the lads on HF are, if the Bruins won last night I guarantee you those numbers would look very very different. I'm consistent at the very least, even if you disagree with me.
There is a better chance of the Red Sox winning the Super Bowl today, than that happening.
