I'm talking about actual criminals that go to prison after coming here illegally. Not simply people who migrate here illegally. You doubt that 5 illegal immigrants a year commit a felony? Because I'm willing to bet that number is in the hundreds per year and I think that's being extremely conservative.

Couple that with the cost they bring to healthcare, etc... this wall pays for itself in no time.

what percent of these illegal immigrants came from mexico ? i think its slightly more complicated than this.. we have to include maintenance and upkeep costs of the wall as well. I cant ball park that figure because i have no clue what something like that to cost, but i cant imagine it would be cheap. But i guess the argument against this will be that the money is being spent on american workers and american companies rather than illegals.

I'll add another complication.

Is it better to spend our tax dollars and chase Mexico with the bill on incarcerating criminals or keeping them out? Because the victims of that criminal activity have a non-numerical, qualitative value that as a nation should be prioritized. At least in theory -- and President Trump seems to place a high value on that.

i doubt that the wall is going to be all brick and mortar. wildlife migration will be greatly affected if that is the case and some parts would be impossible to build due to terrain. but if the god emperor wills it, so let it be written, so let it be done
