I've tried no fap and no porn, and just no porn. Out of the two I'd say just no porn made the bigger difference. No fap just made me frustrated until I had to get that release and went on a hard core intenet fap binge for about a week srs. I found the best way to do no porn is to fap to stuff like yoga videos on youtube. It works because although you are exposed to mild stimuli it doesn't completely desensitise you to sexual situations you may have in real life, plus you still have the motivation to go out and find a girl so you can experience sextors. IMO.

Dopamine/serotonin are released by any activity that causes pleasure. That includes natural stimuli like exercise, climbing a mountain, eating a good meal, etc... it also includes unnatural stimuli like porn, junk food, drugs, etc....

I guess it depends on the person. I get a min-flatline at 10-14 or so then I want to off myself for a couple weeks. But I find the big thing is not to fight it tooth and nail or white knuckle it or your subconscious has already decided you will fap again. Control the thoughts, don't dwell on them or sexy pics etc. Meditation helps a lot, even 10 minutes a day is good for general mental health and strength.

I find I just feel much better on no fap/no porn even though it can be frustrating at times. Much more motivation and want to be active, which is what dopamine promotes, so its a good sign.

I only have an Instagram, but strangely enough I've found the hot chicks on the front page motivate me. Whenever I'm feeling an urge to fap, I'll log on Instagram and quickly skim through the front page and glance at some of the fit chicks. It reminds me of why I'm doing NoFap. It reminds me that I want to be able to be confident around these type of women for once in my life. It reminds me of all the alpha males out there who are banging these chicks while I'm sitting home beating my meat.
